Cuningham versus Hamilton:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of John Cuningham of Enterkine; complaining of an Interlocutor of the Lords of Session in Scotland, on the Eighteenth Day of June 1713, and the Affirmances thereof, made on the Behalf of Katherine Hamilton Lady Enterkine; and praying Relief: As also upon the Answer of the said Mrs. Katherine Hamilton, Relict of William Cuningham of Enterkine, the Appellant's Mother, put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon:

The Question was put, "Whether the said Interlocutor, and the Affirmances thereof, complained of in the said Appeal, be reversed?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Judgement affirmed.

Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Interlocutor and Affirmances thereof, complained of in the said Appeal, be, and are hereby, affirmed.

Annesley versus Sherlock, Appeal from the House of Lords in Ireland.

A Petition and Appeal of Mourice Annesley Esquire, pursuant to the Allowance given Yesterday, was presented to the House; complaining, as well of the Want of Jurisdiction in the House of Lords in Ireland to hear Appeals, as of his being aggrieved by a Decree made by their Lordships, upon an Appeal of Hester Sherlock to the House, from a Decree of the Court of Exchequer in that Kingdom.

Ordered, That the said Appeal be read on Wednesday next.

Middleton's Bill.

The Earl of Clarendon reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate of Thomas Middleton Esquire, deceased, for the more speedy raising of Maintenance-monies and Portions for his Daughters, and for other Purposes therein mentioned," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and found the Allegations thereof to be true; and that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Dashwood's Bill.

The Earl of Clarendon also reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming a Partition made between Robert Dashwood Esquire and Cholmley Turner Esquire, of certain Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, in the County of Oxon," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and found the Allegations thereof to be true; and that the Parties concerned had given their Consents; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Report, Commissioners of Equivalent, delivered.

The House being informed, "That a Person from the Commissioners for the Equivalent in Scotland attended:"

He was called in; and delivered, at the Bar, a Book, intituled, "The Report of the Commissioners nominated and appointed by His Majesty's Letters Patent, under the Great Seal of Great Britain, pursuant to an Act of this present Parliament, intituled, "An Act for taking and stating the Debts due and growing due to Scotland, by Way of Equivalent, in the Terms of the Union; and for Relief of the Creditors of the Public in Scotland, and Commissioners of the Equivalent."

And then he withdrew.

Cill of the House adjourned.

Whereas, by Order of this House, on the 27th of May last, Monday next was appointed, for the House to be called over; and for the Lords then to attend:

It is Ordered, That the Call of the House be adjourned to Wednesday next.

Ordered, That the Hearing of the Cause, which was appointed for Tuesday next, be put off to Saturday; and the other Causes removed in Course.

This Day several Persons took the Oaths appointed, in order to their Naturalization.
