This Day John Lord Bishop of Landaff took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.
Duane to enter into a Recognizance for Bolton.
Upon reading the Petition of David Duane, on Behalf of Michael Bolton Gentleman; praying, "That in regard the said Michael Bolton (who hath an Appeal depending in this House) is in Ireland, the Recognizance of the Petitioner may be taken for the said Appellant:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said David Duane may enter into a Recognizance for the said Michael Bolton, as desired.
Countess Dowager of Castlehaven et al. further Time to answer.
The House being moved, "That Elizabeth Countess Dowager of Castlehaven and others, Respondents to the Appeal of James Touchet Esquire, may have further Time allowed for answering the same, the Papers relating thereunto being not yet come from Ireland:"

Upon reading the Petition of the Right Honourable Thomas Lord Viscount Ikerring in the Kingdom of Ireland and Margaret Lady Ikerring his Wife, and Michael Ward Esquire and Anna Katherina Ward his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the better raising Eight Thousand Pounds, for Portions for the Petitioners Margaret Lady Ikerring and Anna Katherina Ward, by Sale of the Inheritance of some Part of the Estate of James Hamilton, late of Bangor, in the County of Down, and Kingdom of Ireland, Esquire, deceased, in the Petition mentioned; and for granting such Leases of the said Town of Bangor as shall be most advantageous and convenient:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition be referred to the Consideration of Mr. Justice Prat and Mr. Baron Montague; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to empower the Barons of the Court of Exchequer in Ireland to grant a Commission to some of the Barons of the Court of Exchequer in England, to administer to Thomas Hopkins Esquire the usual Oaths, for the due Execution of the Office, or Offices, of Searcher, Packer, and Gauger, in the Port of Dublin."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to the Consideration of the Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Upon reading the Petition of the Right Honourable Arthur Lord Viscount Loftus of Ely, Letitia Lady Viscountess Loftus his now Wife, and of Mary Countess Dowager of Drogheda, sole Executrix of the last Will and Testament of the Right Honourable Henry late Earl of Drogheda, deceased; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to vest certain Lands, Part of the Estate of the said Lord Viscount Loftus, in Trustees, to be sold, for raising the Sum of Eight Thousand Pounds; and also for assuring a Rent Charge, or Annuity, of Six Hundred Pounds per Annum, to be paid to the Petitioner Letitia now Lady Loftus, as a Jointure during her Life, in case she should survive the said Lord Loftus, in full of all Dower and other Jointures; and for other Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Captain William Collier, Commander of Her late Majesty's Ship The Mermaid, from Two Interlocutory Decrees, or Sentences, of the Lords of Session in Scotland, the 13th of February 1713, and 16th of February 1714, made on the Behalf of Robert Stewart Merchant in Aberdeen, James Brebner, and George Fordice and Company, as Owners and Freighters of the Ship The Joanna of Aberdeen, and Alexander Inglis Master of the said Ship; praying, "That the said Interlocutory Decrees may be reversed:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Robert Stewart and others abovementioned may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Fourth Day of June next.
