Copy of E. of Oxford's Answer sent to H. C.

The House being informed, "That a true Copy of the Answer of Robert Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer, to the Articles of Impeachment of High Treason, and other high Crimes and Misdemeanors, exhibited against him by the House of Commons, was prepared, pursuant to the Direction of the House:"

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Gery and Mr. Hiccocks:

To carry down the Copy of the said Answer; and to leave the same with that House.

Princess of Wales's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enabling His Majesty to settle a Revenue for supporting the Dignity of Her Royal Highness the Princess, in case she shall survive his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow Morning.

Tobacco and Wine Merchants Bill.

The Order of the Day being read, for the House to be put into a Committee on the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of Merchants, Importers of Tobacco and Wine, concerned in Bonds given for Part of the Duties on the same:"

It is Ordered, That this House shall be put into a Committee upon the said Bill; on this Day Three Weeks.

Yule Vacance in Scotland, Bill.

The Lord Rosse reported from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for shortening the Time of the Yule Vacance, in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland," was committed, the Amendments made by the Committee to the said Bill.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to, as follows:

"In the Bill, 12th Line, leave out ["the Length of"].

"21 l. Leave out from ["that"], to the End of the Bill; and insert ["the aforesaid Act passed in the Tenth Year of Her late Majesty Queen Anne shall be, and is hereby, repealed, and made void"].

"In the Title of the Bill, 1st Line, leave out from ["for"] to the End of the Title; and insert ["repealing an Act, intituled, An Act for repealing Part of an Act passed in the Parliament of Scotland, intituled, Act for discharging the Yule Vacance."]

Naval Stores, &c. Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to prevent Disturbances by Seamen and others, and to preserve the Stores belonging to His Majesty's Navy Royal; and also for explaining an Act for the better preventing the Embezzlement of His Majesty's Stores of War; and preventing Frauds, Cheats, and Abuses, in paying Seamens Wages; and for the reviving and continuing an Act for the more effectual Suppression of Piracy."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Gery and Mr. Hiccocks:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Ministers, Fifty new Churches, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making Provision for the Ministers of the Fifty new Churches which are to be built in and about the Cities of London and Westminster and Suburbs thereof; and for re-building and finishing the Parish Church of Saint Mary Woolnoth, in the said City of London:"

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, To-morrow.
