Sea Sand for improving Grounds in Cornwall and Devon.

The Bill, intituled, An Act for taking, landing, and carrying of Sea Sand, for the Bettering of Grounds, and the Increase of Corn and Tillage, in the Counties of Devon and Cornewaile, was brought into the House, by the Lord Steward, the first of the Committees, without Amendment or Addition.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, An Act against Burning of Lyng and Heath, and other Moor-burnings, in the Counties of Yorke, Durham, Northumb'land, Cumb'land, Westm'land, Lancaster, Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester, at unseasonable Times of the Year.

Waldgrave's Lands for Payment of his Debts.

The Bill for enabling of Charles Walgrave, Esquire, to make Sale of certain Lands, for the Payment of his Debts, and the Advancement of his younger Sons and Daughters, was this Day sent to the Lower House, by Mr. Doctor Amye and Mr. Grymston.

Brown's Naturalization.

The Bill for Naturalizing of Robert Browne, His Majesty's Servant in ordinary, was also this Day sent by the same Messengers to the Lower House.

Moor-burning in the Northern Counties.

The Bill against Burning of Lyng and Heath, and other Moor-burnings, in the Counties of Yorke, Durham, Northumb'lande, &c. at unseasonable Times of the Year, was also sent down by the same Messengers, for their Consideration of the Amendments added by the Lords.

Ln Norreys's Privilege. Lodar arrested.

Upon Information given by the Lord Gerrerd, That William Lodar, Servant in ordinary to the Lord Norreys, was lately arrested, and committed to Prison, in the House of, Bailiff of, and is there detained upon an Execution, at the Suit of one William Pierce, by the Procurement of Thomas Blount, an Attorney at the Common Law, the Lords the Judges were, by the House, required to consider of the Statute, made Anno Primo of the King's Majesty, Cap. 13°, touching Persons privileged by Parliament, and taken in Execution, and to deliver their Opinions what in this Case is to be done, who presently did accordingly; and thereupon, it was by the House Ordered, That a Writ of Habeas corpus shall be awarded, for removing of the said Prisoner out of Prison, and for bringing of him, by the Sheriffs of London, whose Prisoner now he is, before the Lords, in the Upper House, To-morrow, the 24th of this Instant May, by Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Serjeant at Arms attending this House shall then also bring before the Lords, in the House, as well the above-named William Pierce and Thomas Blount, as John Lamynge, Thomas Wallbe, and Stephen Younge, who, as Bailiffs or Ministers to the Sheriff or Under-sheriff of Midd. arrested the said Lodar, to answer for their Contempt of the Privilege of the said Court.
