Attainder of the Offenders in the late Treasons. Expedit.

The Amendments, Addition, and Proviso added by the Lower House, on the Bill, intituled, An Act for the Attainder of divers Offenders, in the late most barbarous, monstrous, detestable, and damnable Treasons, were read this Day the Third Time; and thereupon the Bill Exped.

Paving Drurylane and St. Giles's Expedit.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Paving of Drurie Lane, and the Town of St. Giles in the Fields, within the County of Middlesex.

Wastes, in Isle of Ely, &c.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the avoiding of Suits, about the Fens and Wastes, within the Isle of Elie, and the Counties adjoining, and for the better Ordering of the same.

Sanctuary.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act concerning Sanctuary; appointed to be ingrossed.

Artillery and unlawful Games.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to repeal a Branch of a Statute, made in the 33d Year of King Henry the Eighth, intituled, For Maintenance of Artillery, and debarring of unlawful Games.

Establishment of Religion.

The Amendments added by the Committees, on the Bill, intituled, An Act for the more sure Establishing and Continuance of True Religion, were this Day Once read.

Drunkenness. Rejected.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act against the loathsome Sin of Drunkenness.

Message from H. C. Recusants.

Message from the Lower House, by Mr. Secretary Herbert and others; signifying, That they acknowledge the kind and favourable Dealing of the Lords, in the Conference about the Bills of Recusants; and are ready for a new Conference, if it please the Lords.

Answer.

Answer made, That, on Monday next, in the Afternoon, by Two of the Clock, at the Painted Chamber, the Lords will be ready to give Meeting.

Purveyors.

By Occasion of a Second Bill concerning Purveyors brought from the Lower House (after a former Bill of the same Title and Matter had been refused), Question being moved, Whether the said Second Bill might, by Order of the House, be admitted and proceeded in, the former Bill having been rejected, it was thought not agreeable to good Order, to proceed on the Second Bill; and Direction given for a Remembrance in Generality to be made of the Order of the House in that Behalf:

Order for the Procedure of a Bill in the House.

That, when a Bill hath been brought into the House, proceeded withall, and rejected, another Bill of the same Argument and Matter may not be renewed and begun again, in the same House, and in the same Session, where the former Bill was begun; but if a Bill begun in one of the Houses, and there allowed and passed, be sent unto the other House, although it be there, upon Reading thereof, disliked and refused; nevertheless, if the Matter be thought fit to be proceeded withall, and that it may be done better by a new Bill, it is holden agreeable to the Order of the Parliament, That a new Bill of the same Matter may be drawn and begun again in that House, whereunto it was sent as aforesaid; and, if a Bill begun in either of the Houses, and committed, be brought in by the Committees, and thought fit, before the Third Reading, to be renewed, in respect that the Matter may better proceed by a new Bill, it is likewise holden agreeable to good Order, in such Case, to draw a new Bill, and to bring it unto the House.
