Annexing Lands, etc. to the Crown for ever.

HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Annexation of certain Honours, Castles, Forests, Manors, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, and of certain Diadems, Crowns, and Royal Jewels and Ornaments, inseparably to the Crown of England for ever.

Attainder of Offenders in the late Treasons.

The Bill for the Attainder of divers Offenders in the late most barbarous, monstrous, detestable, and damnable Treasons, was this Day returned to the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Cant. with certain Amendments, which were presently Twice read, and thereupon the Bill appointed to be ingrossed.

River Thames to Oxford.

The Bill for clearing the Passage by Water, from London, to and beyond the City of Oxford, was also returned to the House, by the Lord Treasurer, the first of the Committees, with certain Amendments.

Complaints against Ecclesiastical Courts.

Signified to the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Cant. That His Majesty had given him Direction to let them understand, that He was informed of great Complaints made, concerning Excommunication granted by the Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction often-times, upon Matters of small Importance; and that, though Contempts generally of great or less Quality be punishable by the Laws of the Realm, according to their several Natures, yet, considering Excommunication is the greatest Censure that may be given, His Majesty held the same unfit to be used but in great Matters; and therefore, albeit His Majesty doth desire that the said Jurisdiction Ecclesiastical may be maintained and upholden in all respects as is fit; notwithstanding, to meet with this Inconvenience, His Highness willed, that some Course might be considered of, for framing and presenting of a Bill for that Purpose; whereupon it was thought fit by the House, and so appointed, That the Lord Chief Baron, Mr. Serjeant Crooke, Mr. Attorney General, Sir Edward Stanhope, and Sir Richard Swale, should attend the Lord Archbishop of Cant. with such others of the Lords the Bishops as he should think meet to call unto him, for a Project of a Bill to be drawn, concerning the said Matter of Excommunication.

Carriage of Timber on the River Tow.

By a new Appointment, the Committees on the Bill for carrying of Timber to Barstable, etc. are appointed to meet upon Saturday next, the 5th of April, by Eight in the Morning, at the Little Chamber.

By a like Appointment, the Committees on the Bill for Free Trade with Spayne, Fraunce, Portugall, etc. are to meet upon Saturday, 5th April, at the Council Chamber, at the Court at Whitehall, by Two in the Afternoon.

Free Liberty of Trade.

Memorandum, Warning to be given to such Merchants and others, as well those that are for the said Bill touching Free Trade with Spayne, Portugall, Fraunce, etc. as those that are against the Bill, to give their Attendance on the Lords Committees, at the said Time and Place prefixed, where they shall be heard on either Part, in ought they have to say concerning the said Bill.
