HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Naturalizing of Sir David Foulis, Knight, and for Confirmation of certain Letters Patents by His most Excellent Majesty to him made.

Attainder of Offenders in the late Treasons.

The Bill for the Attainder of divers Offenders in the late most detestable and damnable Treasons, formerly referred to Committees, was this Day brought into the House, by the Lord Chancellor, the second of the Committees; who made Report, That the said Committees, for some respects, did forbear to proceed on that Bill; and did offer unto the House a new Bill, which they thought more meet to be proceeded in, intituled, An Act for the Attainder of divers Offenders in the late most barbarous, monstrous, detestable, and damnable Treasons; which new Bill was forthwith read, prima vice.

Seditious Speeches, &c. against the King.

Government of Wales.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the better explaining of a former Act, made in the 34th Year of the Reign of King Henry the Eighth, concerning Ordinances made for Wales, and establishing of the Government of the Lord President and Council there.

Signification given to the House, by the Lord Treasurer, That the Four Bills hereunder mentioned remained in his Hands, on the which his Lordship was the first of the Committees; and that the Times of Meeting on the said Bills, formerly appointed, were past and expired, without any Proceeding on the same; and therefore desired some new Days might be appointed for them, which was agreed unto as followeth:

Decayed Cities, &c.

1. An Act to provide Means to better the Estate of decayed Cities and Towns.

The Committees on that Bill to meet at the Little Chamber, upon Thursday next, 27th March, by Eight in the Morning; and Mr. Justice Walmisley to be added to the rest of the Committees.

Divinity-Reader at Oxford.

2. An Act for Confirmation of His Majesty's Letters Patents to the University of Oxford.

To meet To-morrow, being Wednesday, 26th March, by Eight in the Morning, at the Little Chamber.

River Thames to Oxford.

3. An Act for clearing the Passage, by Water, from London to Oxford, etc.

To meet upon Thursday, the 27th of March, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Little Chamber.

Skinners.

4. An Act for the Relief of such as lawfully use the Trade and Handicraft of Skinners.

To meet upon Monday, the last of March, by Eight in the Morning, at the Little Chamber.

Brewing.

Upon a Motion of the Lord Knollis, the Committees on the Bill concerning Brewing were, by a new Appointment, to meet upon Thursday, the Third of April, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Little Chamber.

Merchants of York, Hull, and Newcastle.

The Earl of Northampton and Lord Zouch were, by Order of the House, added to the Committees on the Bill concerning Yorke, Hull, and Newcastle, etc.

Rogers's Bill.

The Lord Bishop of London signified to the House, That the Committees having met on the Bill preferred by Rogers against Tailor, the said Parties, whom the Bill concerned, submitted themselves to the Award of the said Lord Bishop of London, and the Lord Petre; who have accordingly, in Part, agreed the Parties; and for other Particulars, not agreed on, the Committees had drawn a new Bill, which his Lordship presented to the House.

Signification also given to the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Canterburie, That the Five Bills hereunder mentioned remained likewise in his Hands; and that the Times of Meeting, formerly appointed for them, were expired; and therefore, in like Manner, desired that some new Days might be appointed on them; which were agreed on as followeth:

Divinity-Readers at Cambridge.

1. An Act for the Confirmation of His Majesty's Letters Patents to the University of Cambridge, etc.

The Committees to meet To-morrow, being Wednesday, the 26th of March, by Eight in the Morning, at the Painted Chamber.

To preserve the Royalties of the Crown.

2. An Act to preserve and restore to the Crown the true and ancient Regalities appertaining to the same.

To meet upon Thursday, 27th March, by Eight in the Morning, at the Little Chamber; and Mr. Justice Walmisley to be added to the rest of the Committees.

Execution of Wills, &c.

3. An Act for the Relief of the King's Subjects, in Cases concerning Executions of Wills and Administrations.

To meet upon Tuesday, the First of April, by Eight in the Morning, at the Little Chamber; and the Lord Chamberlain and Earl of Salisbury named Committees, instead of the Earls of Cumbreland and Rutland, in regard they were at this Time absent from the Parliament.

Keeping the Sabbath.

4. An Act for the better observing and keeping holy the Sabbath Day, or Sunday.

To meet upon Tuesday, the First of April, by Two in the Afternoon, at the Little Chamber.

Swearing.

5. An Act for the Punishment of prophane, blasphemous, and irreligious Swearing.
