Swearing, &c.

MOVED by the Earl of Northampton, one of the Committees on the Bill against Swearing, That (according to the Appointment of the House upon Tuesday last) some Time might be prefixed for the drawing of a new Bill against that Offence; whereupon it was Agreed, That the Committees on the said Bill should meet, for that Purpose, on Monday next, the Tenth of February, by Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, at the Little Chamber, near the Parliament Presence; and that the Judges, and such of His Majesty's Learned Counsel as were named to attend the said Committee, should then be present, for their Advice in Framing the said Bill.

Order taken for communicating some Matters of Importance to the Commons at the Conference.

Motion made by the Earl of Salisbury, That, (forasmuch, as in the Message to the Lower House on Monday last, the Third of this Instant, some Signification was given, that, beside the Consideration of Laws concerning Religion and Recusants, the Lords would be willing to impart unto them some other Matters of Importance and worthy of Consideration this Parliament) some Order and Direction might be given by the House, what Course should be holden for imparting and propounding the said other Matters of Importance; and Agreed, That the Earl of Salisbury should, in the Conference, take Opportunity to make the Overture of these Matters.

Adjourn.

Dominus Cancellarius continuavit præsens Parliamentum usque in diem Saturni, videlicet, 8m instantis Februarii, hora 8a.
