The Union and Ecclesiastical Affairs.

When Mr. Secretary Herbert had presented the said Ten Bills, he delivered this Message from the Lower House, That, upon Report made to that House of so much as had past in the last Conference about the Project of the Bill for the Union (as they called it), they, being not satisfied in some Points concerning the same, did desire further Conference, by the general Committees of both Houses, for that Matter; and they likewise desired further Conference about Matters Ecclesiastical, or of Religion. Hereunto the Lords sent Answer, by Dr. Swale and Dr. Hone, That, for the first, their Lordships would be ready to give them Meeting this present Day, by Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, at the Outward Chamber, near the Parliament Presence; and for the latter, upon Thursday next, the last of this Instant, in the Afternoon, at the Council Chamber in Court, before which Time (by reason of other necessary Businesses) their Lordships could not meet about that Particular. And furthermore their Lordships signified unto them, by the said Messengers, That whereas a Meeting was appointed to be as To-morrow, for Conference about the Matter of Wards, and Respite of Homage; at the which Conference certain of the Lords Committees could not then be present, in regard they were commanded to attend the King's Majesty at that Time, for some other Occasion; their Lordships desired, that the said Meeting might be deferred till Saturday, the 26th of this Instant, in the Afternoon, at the said Outward Chamber. Answer returned from the Lower House, by Sir Edward Hobbie and others, That they would repair and give Meeting unto their Lordships about the several Matters, and at the several Times and Places, beforementioned and prefixed.

Lord Evre's Leave to be absent.

Signified to the House by the Lord Treasurer, That the King's Majesty had given Leave to the Lord Evre to be absent from the Parliament for some few Days.

Lord Willoughby's ditto.

Signified also by the Lord Chamberlain, That the King's Majesty hath granted Leave to the Lord Willughbie of Parham to be absent from henceforth, during this whole Session of Parliament; and to the Lord Mordant for some Time, but to make his Return again.

Exportation of Ordnance.

Upon a Motion of the Lord Treasurer, a Meeting of the Committees upon the Bill against Transportation of Ordnance was appointed to be upon Wednesday, 30th May, by Seven in the Morning, at the Little Chamber, etc.
