Restitution of Brooke's Children.

HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Restitution in Blood of the Son and Two Daughters of George Brooke, lately attainted of High Treason.

Assurance of the Rectory of Frome Whitefield, for Maintenance of a Preacher and Free-School, &c. in Dorchester.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the better transferring and assuring of the Rectory and Parsonage of the decayed Parish of Frome Whitfeild, adjoining unto the Borough of Dorchester, in the County of Dorsett, towards the Maintenance of a Preacher, a Free-School, and Nine Poor People of the Alms-house, in the said Town of Dorchester.

Appointed to meet at the Little Chamber, near the Parliament Presence, upon Saturday next, the Tenth of this Instant, by Eight in the Morning, before the House sit.

Cowel's Book.

Upon Remembrance by the Lord Chancellor, That their Lordships had appointed to debate and consider amongst themselves this present Forenoon, of some Course fit to be holden in Conference in the Afternoon, at the Meeting with the Committees of the Lower House, touching Dr. Cowell's Book; the Lord Treasurer did signify unto this House, That His Majesty had taken Notice of the Matter, and had lately perused the Places in the Book whereunto Exceptions were taken; and had called the said Cowell before him, and heard his Answer thereunto. And having thereupon duly considered of the Errors committed by the Party in that Behalf, was graciously pleased to deliver his Judgement and Resolution unto the Lords (to be by them imparted unto the Committees of the House of the Commons), touching the said Matter; which the said Lord Treasurer particularly delivered to their Lordships, and was by them appointed to report the same accordingly at the Committee.

Three Lords to report what is spoken by the Committees of the Lower House, on the Matter of Tenures and Wardships.

Agreed likewise, That the Lord Chancellor, Lord Treasurer, and Lord Privy Seal, should observe, and make Report to this House, that which should be spoken by the Committees of the Lower House, touching the Matter of Tenures, and Dependency on Tenures.

Adjourn.
