Costs to the Defendant on a Non-suit.

HODIE 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to give Costs to the Defendant upon a Non-suit of the Plaintiff, or a Verdict against him.

Preservation of Wood and Timber.

Signification given to the House by the Lord Archbishop of Canterburie, That the Committees on the Bill for Preservation of Woods, Timber, &c. having met on the same, and considered thereof, do find the said Bill so full of Defects as it is unmeet to proceed; and therefore have framed a new Bill instead of it, which he brought into the House, intituled, An Act for the Preservation and Increase of Wood and Timber. Prima vice lecta.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Confirmation of all Letters Patents and Grants, to be made by the King's Majesty, of any Copyhold Lands, or Tenements, Parcel of any His Highness's Manors.

Confirmation of a Charter to the Town of Southampton.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for Confirmation of some Part of a Charter, granted by King Henry the Sixth, to the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Burgesses, of the Town of Southampton, and for Relief of the said Town.

Grievances in the Spanish Trade.

The Petition and Articles of Complaint exhibited by the Merchants to the Lower House, touching the Wrongs of the Spaniard, and from that House sent to the Lords, were this Day read, and the Debate thereon deferred until Monday next, in the Morning.

Horse H'des prohibited being used.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act to restrain the using of any Leather made of Horse Hides, or Hog's Skins, by Shoe-makers, Sadlers, Girdlers, Coachharness-makers, and others.
