THIS Day, Sir Edward Phillipps, Knight, one of His Majesty's Serjeants at Law, being chosen Prolocutor, or Speaker, of the Lower House, was, by divers of the Knights and Burgesses, brought up into the Higher House, and presented to His Majesty and the House, by the Hands of Sir John Stanhope, Knight, Vice-Chamberlain to His Majesty, and Sir John Herbert, Knight, Second Secretary of State to His Highness.
The King's Majesty made Repetition of His former Speech, delivered the first Day of the Parliament; for that He supposed many of the Commons of the Lower House were absent when He then delivered the same.
