Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable William Booth Gentleman to sell certain Lands and Hereditaments, in the County of Chester, for Payment of the Debts of his Brother, with whom, and for which, he stands bound; and for applying the Surplus (if any) of the Money raised for such Purpose, towards Payment of his own proper Debts."

Ball versus L. Lanesborough & al.:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of George Ball, from a Decree, or Order, of the Court of Chancery, made the Eighth of November One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twelve, on the Behalf of James Lord Viscount Lanesborough, Henry Lord Shelburne, Henry Lord Paget, Sir James How Baronet, Hatton Compton, Frederick Tilney, Robert Heysham, Esquires, and others; praying, "That the said Decree or Order may be reversed:" As also upon the Answer of the said Lord Viscount Lanesborough and other Respondents put in thereunto; and due Consideration and Debate of what was offered thereupon:

The Question was put, "Whether the said Decree, or Order, shall be reversed?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Judgement affirmed.

Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of George Ball shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree, or Order, therein complained of, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming Articles, and vesting the Manor of Kirby Underwood, in the County of Lincoln, and other Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, thereby agreed to be sold, in Trustees, for discharging the Debts of Sir John Brownlowe Baronet, deceased, and his Daughters Portions, and other Purposes in the said Articles mentioned;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges, to whom the Bill relating to the Earl of Thomond was referred:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for confirming several Grants in Fee-farm, made by Henry Earl of Thomond, by virtue of, or since the passing, a former Act of Parliament; and for giving some Ease and Relief to the Purchasers under or since the said former Act."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the same Committee to whom the Bill for making the Chapelry of Stockton a distinct Parish is referred.
