L. Gower's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable John Lord Gower, Baron of Stit'nham, an Infant, to make a Settlement upon his Marriage."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Meller and Mr. Orlebar:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Queen attended with the Address:

The Lord Treasurer acquainted the House, "That the Lords with White Staves had (according to Order) presented to Her Majesty the Address of this House, of the Eighteenth Instant; and acquainted Her Majesty with the Intimation their Lordships then gave, "That the whole House would have attended Her Majesty, but conceived this Method most convenient in respect to Her present Indisposition;" and that Her Majesty was pleased to give this Gracious Answer; (videlicet,)

Queen's Answer:

"I return you My most hearty Thanks for this Address, and for the Considence you place in Me; which will better enable Me to obtain such Terms as may be safe and honourable for My own Subjects, and all our Allies."

Address and Answer to be printed.

Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Her Majesty's most Gracious Message to this House on the Seventeenth Instant, and their Lordships Address thereupon, and Her Majesty's most Gracious Answer to the said Address, shall be forthwith printed and published.

Queen's Message about the Scotch Peers, &c. considered.

The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to take into further Consideration Her Majesty's most Gracious Message.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl Ferrers reported, "That the Committee had been in Consideration of that Part of Her Majesty's Message which relates to the Peers of the North Part of Great Britain; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again, to take the same into further Consideration."

Ordered, That on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee, to take into further Consideration that Part of Her Majesty's said Message which relates to the Peers of the North Part of Great Britain.

Adjourn.
