Ld. Abergavenny takes the Oaths.

This Day George Lord Bergevenny took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Preserving the Protestant Religion, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled; "An Act for preserving the Protestant Religion, by better securing the Church of England as by Law established; and for confirming and supplying the Defects of the Toleration granted to Protestant Dissenters by an Act, intituled, An Act for exempting Their Majesties Protestant Subjects dissenting from the Church of England, from the Penalties of certain Laws; and for the further securing the Protestant Succession, by requiring the Practisers of the Law in North Britain to take the Oaths, and subscribe the Declaration, therein mentioned."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Monday next; and all the Lords summoned.

E. Nottingham's Speech printed, Complaint of:

Complaint being made to the House, of a Paper printed and published, contrary to a Standing Order of this House, intituled, "The Earl of Nottingham's Speech to the Honourable House of Lords; London, printed by J. Tomson, near Covent-Garden, 1711."

And the said Title being read:

Committee to inquire who is the Author, &c.

Sir Edward Seymour versus Lady Seymour & al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Edward Seymour Baronet, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Fifteenth Day of June last, on the Behalf of the Lady Letitia Seymour, William Seymour Esquire, the Right Honourable Francis Lord Conway, Charles Seymour, William Berkeley Esquires and Anne his Wife, and Francis Gwyn Esquire; praying, "That so much of the said Decree as in the said Petition is complained of may be reversed, and the Petitioner relieved; and that the said Letitia Seymour, William Seymour, Francis Lord Conway, Charles Seymour, William Berkeley and Anne his Wife, and Francis Gwyn, may answer the said Appeal:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Lady Letitia Seymour, Francis Lord Conway, and the other Respondents, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on or before Saturday the Fifth Day of January next, at Eleven a Clock.
