Saltmarshe's Bill.

The Lord Delawar reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Philip Saltmarshe Esquire, for Payment of his Debts and Incumbrances, and laying out the Surplus in other Purchases; and also for confirming an Agreement for a Partition, Division, and Exchange, of other Part of his Estate, in the Counties of Nottingham and Dorset: That they had considered the said Bill, and made several Amendments thereunto."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to.

Coal Trade, Bill:

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to dissolve the present, and prevent the future, Combination of Coal Owners, Lightermen, Masters of Ships, and others, to advance the Price of Coals, in Prejudice of the Navigation, Trade, and Manufactures of this Kingdom; and for the further Encouragement of the Coal Trade."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Saturday next, at One a Clock.

D. of Richmond to be heard against it;

Upon reading the Petition of the most Noble Charles Duke of Richmond and Lenox; shewing, "That he is entitled to a Duty of Eight Pence for every Chaldron of Coals exported from the Port of Newcastle upon Tine; and that, by a Bill now depending before this House, relating to the Coal Trade, he will be greatly injured;" and praying to be heard, by his Counsel, before the Second Reading of the said Bill:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, on Saturday next, before the Second Reading of the said Bill.

and Clavering to be heard.

Upon reading the Petition of John Clavering Esquire, an Infant, by Anne Clavering Spinster, his Guardian; shewing, "That he is seised and possessed of divers Collieries upon the River Tyne, of very great Yearly Value; and that a Bill now depending before this House, relating to the Coal Trade, will put him under insuperable Difficulties in working of his Collieries, and very great Inconveniencies in other respects;" and praying, "That he may be heard, by his Counsel, before the Second Reading of the said Bill:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, on Saturday next, before the Second Reading of the said Bill.

Naval Stores from North Britain, Bill.

The House was (according to Order) adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to encourage the Transportation of Naval Stores from North Britain into South Britain."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Delawar reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, and had made some Amendments thereunto; which he was ready to report, when the House should think fit."

Ordered, That the Report of the said Amendments be made To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock.
