Lovett's Bill.

The Lord Ferrers reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to make Building Leases of Part of the Estate late of John Lovett deceased, lying in the City of Dublin," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and made One Amendment thereunto."

Which, being read Twice, was agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendment.

Mugglestone's Bill.

The Lord Ferrers also reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of certain Lands and Tithes, in the Parish of Tonge, in the County of Leicester, late the Estate of William Mugglestone deceased; and for the Distribution of the Money thereby arising, pursuant to a Settlement made of the said Lands and Tithes, by the said William Mugglestone," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and made several Amendments thereunto."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Glessell versus Hendry.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Glessell, of London, Merchant, from an Order, or Decree, made by the Lords of Council and Session in North Britain, the Twenty-sixth Day of November One Thousand Seven Hundred and Nine, and afterwards by them adhered to by several other Orders, the last of which bears Date the Twenty-seventh of February last; whereby the Appellant is decreed to pay, to the Respondent John Hendry, a considerable Sum of Money, received by the Appellant on an Assignment of One Hundred and Fifty Pounds Stock in the African Company there, for securing to him a Debt of Three Hundred Pounds; which Assignment is set aside, under Pretence of the Assignors being charged with Horning, or an Execution before such Assignment was made, notwithstanding great Part of the Money paid into the Company for the said Stock was so paid in by the Appellant after such Assignment; and praying Relief against the said Decree and Proceedings complained of in the Appeal; and that the Respondent John Hendry may answer the Premises, and the Appeal heard:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Hendry may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Thirteenth Day of April next, at Eleven a Clock.

Bank to exchange Exchequer Bills, Bill:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enabling and obliging the Bank of England, for the Time therein mentioned, to exchange all Exchequer Bills for ready Money upon Demand; and to disable any Person to be Governor, Deputy Governor, or Director of the Bank of England, and a Director of the East India Company, at the same Time."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Ferrers reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

French Wine, for Importation of, Bill:

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to take into further Consideration the Bill, intituled, "An Act to repeal the Act of the Third and Fourth Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for prohibiting all Trade and Commerce with France, so far as it relates to the Importation of French Wines."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Guilford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with several Amendments."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to perform the Marriage Articles of Sir Richard Grosvenor Baronet and Dame Jane his Wife, notwithstanding the Lunacy of Dame Mary Grosvenor, and the Infancy of her Younger Children; and for settling the Estate in the Family, and making Building Leases, as effectually as if the said Dame Mary was of sound Mind, and her Children of full Age, and all had joined in levying Fines."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Pointer's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting several Messuages or Tenements in Bride-Lane, and elsewhere, in the Parish of St. Bridget, alias St. Bride's, London, of John Poynter Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, in Lieu and Satisfaction of other Manors, Messuages, Lands, and Tenements, of a greater Value, settled by the said John Poynter to such Uses, and upon such Trusts, as the said Houses in London are settled."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Mr. Dormer:

To carry down the said Two last mentioned Bills, and desire their Concurrence to them.

Monroe versus Lord Kerry, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Lord Baron of Kerry, in the Kingdom of Ireland; shewing, "That a Writ of Error being brought into this House, from the Court of Exchequer Chamber in Ireland, wherein Henry Monroe is Plaintiff, and the Petitioner Defendant; and Errors assigned, and Issue joined;" and praying, "That a short Day may be appointed, for hearing the said Errors argued:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, in this Case, on Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock.
