L. Colepeper takes the Oaths.

This Day John Lord Colepeper took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Tighe and Lovet, Leave for a Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Justice Powell and Mr. Baron Bury, to whom was referred the Petition of Richard Tighe Esquire and Mary Lovett Widow; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the Petition.

Lindsey Level Herne & al. Pet. for draining, referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Henry Herne, John Pettiward, Edward Herne, Thomas Windham, and Thomas Lewis, on Behalf of themselves and many others, claiming under the Right Honourable Robert Earl of Lindsey, as Participants of Lindsey Levell, in the County of Lincoln; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable the Petitioners quietly to drain the remaining Part of the said Level; and for confirming the original Agreement and Decree of the Commissioners of Sewers, and establishing the Petitioners Right and Claim under the same, in such Manner as the House shall think fit:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench and the Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having persued the Bill, do sign the same.

Burgoyne's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to make, renew, and fill up, Leases of the Estate of William Burgoyne, late of the City of Exon, Merchant, deceased, during the Minority of his Son and Daughters."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of March next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

E. of Plymouth's Bill.

The Duke of Beaufort reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act to vest the Manor, or reputed Manor, of Wadborough, alias Wadberrow, in the County of Worcester, and other Lands there, which came to the Right Honourable Other Earl of Plimouth, by his Mother, in Trustees, to be sold, for raising more Money, to pay off Debts charged upon his Paternal Estate; and for other Purposes: That they had considered the same; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Baker & al. versus Austin & al.

Upon reading the Petition of Charles Austin and Robert Browne, Respondents to the Appeal of Michael Baker and others, Creditors of the late Duke of Bucks; praying a short Day may be appointed for hearing of this Cause:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday next, at Eleven a Clock.

E. of Berkshire's Bill.

The Marquis of Dorchester reported from the Lords Committees, (to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Manor of Reaversbey, and other Lands, in the County of Lincoln, the Estate of Henry Bowes Earl of Berkshire; and to settle other Lands, in the County of Stafford, to the same Uses:) That they have considered the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with some Amendments."

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Mugglestone's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Sale of certain Lands and Tithes, in the Parish of Tonge, in the County of Leicester, late the Estate of William Muggleston, deceased; and for the Distribution of the Money thereby arising, pursuant to a Settlement made of the said Lands and Tithes by the said William Mugglestone."

Poynter's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting several Messuages, or Tenements, in Bride Lane, and elsewhere, in the Parish of St. Bridget, alias St. Brides, London, of John Poynter Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, in Lieu and Satisfaction of other Manors, Messuages, Lands, and Tenements, of a greater Value, settled by the said John Poynter to such Uses, and upon such Trusts, as the said Houses in London are settled."

Sir R. Grosvenor's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to perform the Marriage Articles of Sir Richard Grosvenor Baronet and Dame Jane his Wife, notwithstanding the Lunacy of Dame Mary Grosvenor, and the Infancy of her Younger Children; and for settling the Estate in the Family; and making Building Leases, as effectually as if the said Dame Mary was of sound Mind, and her Children of full Age, and all had joined in levying Fines."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the Two last mentioned Bills be committed to the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Trustees to make, renew, and fill up, Leases of the Estate of William Burgoyne, late of the City of Exon, Merchant, deceased, during the Minority of his Son and Daughters," stands committed.

Their Lordships, or any Five; to meet at the same Time and Place.

Calvert's Divorce Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for confirming a Sentence given in the Arches Court of Canterbury, for divorcing Benedict Leonard Calvert Esquire and the Lady Charlotte his Wife; and for bastardizing the spurious Issue of the said Lady Charlotte."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday the Twelfth Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.
