Report of Committee about Impeachments.

The Earl of Wharton reported from the Lords Committees (appointed to consider of the Impeachment brought up Yesterday from the House of Commons) what has been usual, and what is proper to be done on this Occasion; the Manner of proceeding in the Case of Goudet and others, impeached by the House of Commons, on the Tenth of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight.

And the House Ordered, That the same should lie on the Table, for their Lordships Perusal; and that the Clerks do make further Search for Precedents of like Nature.

Francklyn versus Deane.

Upon reading the humble Petition and Appeal of Joseph Francklyn, from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer in Ireland, the Five and Twentieth Day of February One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, on the Behalf of Sir Mathew Deane and the Right Honourable Dorothy Countess Dowager of Barramore his Wife, Plaintiffs in the said Suit; and praying, "That the said Decree may be reversed, and the now Respondents Bill dismissed with Costs; and that, in case the Respondents be admitted to redeem the Premises in Question, it may be on the Terms proposed in the Petitioner's Plea:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Mathew Deane and the said Countess Dowager his Wife may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Seven and Twentieth Day of January next.

Adjourn.
