Davies's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Leasehold Rectories of Llandeveyson and of Llangathen, and the Chapel of Llanyhernton and Llechron, in Llanegwad, in the County of Carmarthen, in Trustees, to be sold; and for Application of the Purchase-money for the Benefit of such Persons who are entitled to the Premises under the Will of William Davies Gentleman, deceased."

Queen's Answer about the E. of Peterborow's communicating Matters relative to the War in Spain:

The Lord Steward acquainted the House, "That the Lords with White Staves having attended Her Majesty, to desire that the Earl of Peterborow might have Leave to communicate to this House such Matters as are within his Lordship's Knowledge, relating to the War in Spain and France; Her Majesty was pleased to say,

"That She was very willing his Lordship should acquaint this House with any Thing that was within his Knowledge, relating to that Matter."

State of the War in Spain:

The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, to proceed further in the Inquiry into the present State of the War in Spain.

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Abingdon reported, "That it was the Opinion of the said Committee, That the House be moved, That an Address be made to Her Majesty, humbly to desire, that Her Majesty will please to give Order, that the original Letter of Mr. Stanhope to the Earl of Sunderland, bearing Date the 15th of January 170 6/7, N. S. to which the Earl of Sunderland's Letter of the 14th of February following is an Answer, may be laid before this House; and also an entire Copy of the Earl of Sunderland's Letter to Mr. Stanhope (of which an Extract is now before this House); and also the Earl of Godolphin's Letter, mentioned to be enclosed in the Earl of Sunderland's Letter; and all other Papers, Letters, and Councils of War, relating to the War in Spain and Portugal, not already transmitted to this House, which the House shall desire from Time to Time from the respective Offices; and that the House be also moved, that the Committee may have Leave to sit again."

To which the House agreed; and the following Orders were made; (videlicet,)

Address for Papers relative to it.
