Cock versus Shere.

The House being moved, on the Behalf of Joseph Cock, Respondent to the Appeal of Jonathan Shere, depending in this House, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Nineteenth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven a Clock.

The Lord Chief Justice of the Court of Queen's Bench, in the usual Manner, brought up a Writ of Error, wherein,

Harrison versus Archbp. of Dublin, in Error.

Theophilus Harrison Doctor of Divinity, Prehendary of the Church of St. John in Dublin, is Plaintiff,

And

William Lord Archbishop of Dublin, Defendant.

L. Ormstoun versus Hamilton:

Counsel (according to Order) were called in, and heard, upon the Petition and Appeal of Adam Cokburne Lord Ormstoun and Dame Anne his Wife, from some Proceedings of the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland; as also upon the Answer of John Hamilton and his Guardian, put in thereunto.

And a Debate arising in relation to what was offered thereupon:

Debate adjourned.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Debate be adjourned till To-morrow, at One a Clock; and that One Counsel on each Side do then attend.

Jones versus Bennet:

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Jones Appellant, and Anne Bennet Widow and Michael Harbourne Respondents; shewing, "That they are treating about an amicable Determination of this Cause, and hope to compose the same;" and praying, "That the Hearing thereof may be deferred for some Time:"

Hearing put off.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Twenty-second Instant, at Eleven a Clock.

Sir Hugh Paterson versus Moderator of the Presbytery, Stirling.

Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Sir Hugh Paterson is Appellant, and the Moderator of the Presbytery of Stirling Respondent:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Saturday next, at Eleven a Clock.
