Queen's Answer, about Numbers of Men in Spain, &c.

The Earl of Cholmondeley acquainted the House, That the Lords with White Staves having (according to Order) attended Her Majesty with the Address of this House of Yesterday, desiring several Papers might be laid before the House, Her Majesty was pleased to say,

"That She would give Order as desired."

Jermyn's Pet. for a Divorce Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Stephen Jermyn, of London, Merchant, and Stephen his only Son; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for dissolving of the Marriage of the said Stephen the Son with Sarah Bell, and to enable him to marry again:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given them to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the Petition.

Williams versus Duncombe.

Upon reading the Petition of Thomas Duncomb; shewing, "That he having recovered a Judgement against Roger Willims, in the Court of Common Pleas, which is since affirmed in the Queen's Bench, the said Roger Williams hath brought his Writ of Error in Parliament, and assigned the General Errors, to which the Petitioner hath joined Issue; and praying that a Day may be appointed for hearing the said Errors argued:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued in this Case, on Saturday the Seven and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Twelve a Clock.

Paul versus Shaw, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of William Paul Esquire; shewing, " That Saturday next is appointed for arguing the Errors upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein the Petitioner is Plaintiff, and Sir John Shaw Baronet Defendant; and that One of the Counsel is not able to attend that Day; and praying, that this House will please to appoint Friday the Six and Twentieth Instant, for arguing the, said Errors; the Defendant consenting thereunto:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued in this Case, on Friday, the Six and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Eleven a Clock.

State of the War in Spain:

Ordered, That on Monday next, at Twelve a Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to take into further Consideration the present State of the War in Spain; and that the Earl of Gallway do then attend; and all the Lords summoned.

E. of Gallway's Answer about Papers:

The House was informed, by a Letter from the Earl of Gallway, delivered this Day, "That he had received their Lordships Order of Yesterday, but had no Letters by him of so old a Date as therein mentioned; his then Secretary having lost Part of his Baggage after the Battle of Almanza, and with it almost all his Papers."

His Answer to Lord Peterborow's Charges against him.

Then a Writing, intituled, "My Lord Gallway's Answer to what the Earl of Peterborow was pleased to say in the House of Lords, in Answer to the Five Questions that were proposed to his Lordship there," was delivered into the House.

And agreed, to lie on the Table.
