PRAYERS.

The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty had sent a Commission for the further proroguing of the Parliament."

Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, being seated on a Form, placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Chancellor in the Middle; the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, the Duke of Somerset, and the Earl of Sunderland, on his Right Hand; and the Lord Steward on his Left; commanded the Deputy Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to let the Commons know, "That the Lords Commissioners desire "them to come, and hear the said Commission read."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Commission was read, by the Clerk, as follows; (videlicet,)

Then the Lord Chancellor sale,

Parliament prorogued.

"By virtue of Her Majesty's Commission for opening this present Parliament, and that now read, we do, in Her Majesty's Name, prorogue this Parliament to Thursday the Sixth Day of October next: And this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Thursday the Sixth Day of October next."
