After reading, and considering, the Report of the Lord Chief Justice of Her Majesty's Court of Common Pleas and the Lord Chief Baron of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer, to whom was referred the Petition of Anthony Stafford Gentleman and Elizabeth his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the Petition.
Parochial Libraries, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better Preservation of Parochial Libraries, in that Part of Great Britain called England."
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the same Committee to whom the Lord Willughby de Broke's Bill stands committed.
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Friday the Eighteenth Day of this Instant March, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Bill for Improvement of the Union.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for improving the Union of the Two Kingdoms."
Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.
After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.
And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported from the Committee of the whole House, "That it is the Opinion of the Committee, that the Judges bring in an Account of the several Laws that relate to Treason, or Trials for Treason."
To which the House agreed; and ordered as follows:
"It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all the Judges now in Town do attend this House on Friday next, at Twelve a Clock; and that they bring with them an Account of the several Laws that relate to Treason and Trials for Treason."

And the Lord Viscount Townshend reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."
