Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to explain a Clause in a Statute made in the Twentyseventh Year of the Reign of King Henry the Eighth, enabling Tenants in Tail in Possession to make Jointures to Wives; and enlarging the same, so as Richard Lord Willughby de Broke, and other Tenants in Tail in Possession, may make Jointures to the Wives of their Eldest Sons or Grandsons."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

The Lord Chancellor reported Her Majesty's most Gracious Answer to the Address of both Houses, presented to Her Majesty, as followeth; (videlicet,)

Queen's Answer to Address of both Houses:

"I am of the same Opinion with My Two Houses of Parliament in the several Particulars of this Address; as I have also been in all the (fn. 2) other which they have made on the same Subject.

"I assure you, no Care shall be wanting, on My Part, to attain the Ends they have desired."

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Address of both Houses of Parliament presented to Her Majesty Yesterday, and Her Majesty's most Gracious Answer thereunto, shall be forthwith printed and published.

Smithfield Cattle, Bill.

The Earl of Scarbrough reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining and making more effectual that Part of an Act passed in the Fifth Year of Her present Majesty's Reign, concerning the buying and selling of Cattle in Smithfield; and for giving Leave for bringing up Calves dead to London, as formerly," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Sir J. Grey versus D. of Hamilton & al.

The House being this Day moved, on the Behalf of the Lord Selkirke and others, Respondents to the Appeal of Sir James Grey, "That a further Day than Monday next may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause; their Counsel, which had been formerly retained, being sick:"

Upon Consideratio whereof, it is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Tenth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock.

Blenkarne versus Jennens & al.;

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of William Blenkarne, from several Decrees, Orders, and Reports, of the Court of Chancery, therein mentioned, made on the Behalf of Robert Jennens and Anne his Wife, Daughter, Heir, and Executrix of the last Will and Testament of Carew Gwydot, her late Father, deceased, and Adrian Moor Gentleman; and praying the Reversal of so much of the said Decrees, Orders, and Reports, as relate to the Petitioner's Payment of the Principal Money, Interest, and Costs, in the Petition set forth, or any Part thereof, may be reversed and set aside: As also upon the Answers of Robert Jennens and Anne his Wife, and Adrian Moor, put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Wm. Blenkarne shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decrees, Orders, and Reports, therein complained of, shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed.

Adjourn.
