Delaymerie & al. Nat. Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing of Vincent Delaymerie and others:"
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Monday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant December, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Smalman's Bill.
Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for supplying a Defect (by the Death of a Trustee) in the Appointment of Provisions for the Younger Children of Henry Smalman Esquire deceased; and for making the said Provision more effectual for such Younger Children."
Address concerning the Church of England, delivered to the Commons at a Conference.
The Commons being come to the Conference, the former Managers Names were read.
Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.
Which being ended, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Managers had attended the Conference; and delivered the Address to the Commons, and desired their Concurrence to it."
Gage versus Lister:
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Henry Gage, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Four and Twentieth Day of January last, on the Behalf of Elizabeth Lister Widow; and praying "the Reversal of the said Decree; and that the Five Hundred Pounds brought into Court, and the Interest thereof received by the Respondent Lister, with her Costs, may be paid back to the Petitioner, with his own and Mr. Lawton's Costs:" As also upon the Answer of the said Elizabeth Lister put in thereunto; and due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon:
Judgement affirmed, with Costs.
It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Henry Gage shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed: And it is further Ordered, That the said Henry Gage shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said Elizabeth Lister, the Sum of Twenty Pounds, for her Costs.
Vane versus L. Barnard.
Upon reading the Petition of William Vane Esquire (Younger Son of the Right Honourable Christopher Lord Barnard) and Lucy his Wife, and Christopher Vane their Son; shewing, "That they have been forced to bring a Bill in Chancery, against the Lord Barnard and his Lady, for the Execution of an Agreement; in which they cannot proceed, his Lordship insisting on Privilege;" and praying "Liberty to prosecute the Suit, without incurring the Displeasure of this House:"
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Barnard may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do forthwith appear, and answer in Person, or send his Answer in Writing, as he shall think fit.
Sheppard & al. versus Smith et al.
Whereas To-morrow was appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein William Sheppard Gentleman and Thomas Stevens are Appellants, and John Smith and others Respondents:
It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock.
Adjourn.
