The Earl of Rochester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing "Marcos Dos Santos," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Marcos Dos Santos."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, The Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Queen's Answer to Address for Papers about the War in Spain.

The Lord Chamberlain acquainted the House, "That he had attended Her Majesty, with the Address of this House of the Ninth Instant; and that Her Majesty was pleased to say,

"That the Memorial of Count d' Galasse, and other Things desired, should be laid before the House, so soon as they can be got ready."

Freman's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Ralph Freman the Younger, Esquire, and his Heirs, divers Manors and Lands in the County of Essex, comprised in his Marriage Settlement; he having settled other Manors and Lands, in the County of Hertford, of greater Value, to like Uses, in Lieu thereof."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Sir Richard Holford:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

List of the Navy returned to be signed by the Commissioners of the Navy; and Estimate of Naval Stores to be sent in by them.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Paper, intituled, "Admiralty-office, the Sixth of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven," being a List of the present State of Her Majesty's Royal Navy, in relation to their Repairs, and what Condition they are in for the Sea-service, prepared in Pursuance of a Precept from the House of Peers, bearing Date the Third of this Month, shall be returned to the Lord High Admiral, in order to be signed by the Commissioners of the Navy who certified the same to the Lord High Admiral, and to be returned with such Alterations as shall be thought proper, in order to the greater Certainty of it; and also, that the Commissioners of the Navy do give an Account of the Order sent to them, of the Thirteenth of December last, to lay before this House an Estimate of the Naval Stores in the several Yards at Michaelmas last, with an Account of what Stores are at Lisbon."

Papers from the Lord High Admiral and Secretary of State, concerning the War in Spain.

Mr. Hill, from the Admiralty, delivered, at the Bar, several Papers, in Four Bundles, as follow; (videlicet.)

1st Bundle, containing, "Several Letters from and to Sir John Leake."

2d Bundle, containing, "Letters from Sir Cloudesly Shovell, &c. and Results of Councils of War, relating to the Siege and Taking the City of Barcelona."

3d Bundle, containing, "Letters from King Charles the Third to Sir Cloudesly Shovell and others, between him, the Earl of Peterborow, and the Prince of Hesse."

4th Bundle, containing, "Several Orders, Letters, and Papers, relating to the Relief of Barcelona, in the Year 1706."

The Earl of Sunderland, by Her Majesty's Command, (pursuant to an Address of this House) delivered several Papers, intituled as follow; (videlicet,)

"The Memorial of Count Gallas, Monsieur Hoffman, and Monsieur Zinzerling, frac6/17; June, 1707, and a Translation thereof."

"The Answer to the Memorial of Count Gallas, Monsieur Hoffiman, and Monsieur Zinzerling, 20th June, 1707, and a Translation thereof."

"Translation, 2d Article of the Treaty between the Emperor and the Duke of Savoy, 8th November, 1703."

"Translation, 4th Article between the Emperor and the Duke of Savoy, 8th Nov'r, 1703."

"Translation, 8th Article of the Treaty between the Queen of Great Britain and the Duke of Savoy, 4th August, 1704."

"Translation, 2d, 3d, 5th, 9th, 14th Articles, between the Emperor, the Queen of England, States General, and King of Portugal, May 16th, 1703."

"Article 3d of the Treaty between the Queen of Great Britain, the King of Portugal, and The States General, August 10th, 1703."

"An Account of the Dutch Forces that have been at several Times sent to Portugal and Spain, since the First 4000 Men stipulated by the Treaty with the King of Portugal."

"An Account of the Number of Forces that have been sent to Portugal and Spain, and have been agreed for by Treaties to serve there and in Italy."

And his Lordship acquainted the House, "That Her Majesty (in order that all the Papers might be brought before their Lordships) had ordered him to lay before them the Papers following:

"Count Gallas's Memorial, 20/31; August, 1706, and a Translation thereof."

"Extracts of Letters from the Earl of Peterborow to the King of Spain, in June and July 1706, and Translations of the same."

"Copies of the King of Spain's Letters to the Earl of Peterborow, 2d and 7th July, 1706, and Translations thereof."

State of the Nation, relating to the War in Spain.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the Papers received this Day from the Admiralty, as also those delivered by the Earl of Sunderland, shall be referred to the Committee of the whole House appointed to sit this Day, to consider of the State of the Nation, in relation to the War in Spain.

Then the House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Matters to them referred; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to be in a Committee again, to proceed therein."

Ordered, That this House be put into a Committee, to consider further of the State of the Nation in relation to the War in Spain, on Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock; and nothing to intervene.

Adjourn.
