Marquis of Dorchester takes the Oaths.

This Day Evelyn Marquis of Dorchester took the Oaths of Allegiance and Supremacy, and the Oath of Abjuration; and also made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

E. of Bindon & al. versus E. of Suffolk & al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of the Right Honourable Henry Earl of Bindon (Son and Heir Apparent of the Right Honourable Henry Earl of Suffolke), the Honourable Edward Howard and Charles Howard Esquires (Two other Sons of the said Earl of Suffolke), John Pitt Esquire and the Lady Diana his Wife, Daughter of the said Earl, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Seventeenth Day of June last, on the Behalf of the said Henry Earl of Suffolke, the Right Honourable Anne Countess Dowager of Suffolke (surviving Executors of James late Earl of Suffolke deceased) Sir William Russell Baronet, Thomas Marriott Esquire, Susannab Coppinger Spinster, Executrix of Mary Coppinger Widow deceased (who was Administratrix of Ralph Coppinger deceased), John Davies and Margaret his Wife; and praying, "That the said Decree be, so far as it relates to the Allowance of the Sixth Part of the Twenty Thousand Pounds therein mentioned, and ordering an Accompt to be taken of the Interest of the said Sixth Part of the said Twenty Thousand Pounds, and the Dismission of the Plaintiffs Bill with Costs, in case the said Earl of Bindon shall make Default of paying to the Defendant Davies and his Wife, at such Time and Place as the Master shall appoint, a Sixth Part of the said Twenty Thousand Pounds, with Interest, as aforesaid, may be reversed; and that the said Henry Earl of Suffolke, Anne Countess Dowager of Suffolke, Sir William Russell, Thomas Marriott, Susanna Coppinger, John Davies and Margaret his Wife, may put in their Answer to the said Appeal, and all Proceedings on the said Decree be in the mean Time stayed:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Henry Earl of Suffolke, Anne Countess Dowager of Suffolke, Sir William Russell, Thomas Marriott, Susanna Coppinger, John Davies and Margaret his Wife, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and do put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the First Day of December next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon; and that all Proceedings on the said Decree shall in the mean Time be stayed.

Calthorp & al. versus May & al.

Whereas Tuesday next was appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein Reynolds Calthorpe Esquire and others are Appellants, and Charles May Esquire and others are Respondents: The House being this Day moved, "That the Cause may be put off to some further Day, in regard Counsel could not then attend:"

It is therefore Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Fourth Day of December next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Standing Order relating to Sons of Peers being in the House, reconsidered.

The House (according to the Order of the Day) taking into Consideration the Standing Order of the Fifth of April last, relating to the Sons of Peers being in the House when sitting;

And after some Debate:

The Lords following were appointed a Committee, to prepare an Order pursuant to the said Debate, and report the same to the House.

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Monday next, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
