Thornhill's Bill.

The Earl of Winchilsea reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to vest certain Lands and Tenements, in the County of Kent, the Estate of Richard Thornhill Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of Debts, and his Sisters Portions charged thereupon; and for securing the Residue of the Purchase-money to the Use of his Marriage Settlement," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Ballett's Bill.

The Earl of Warrington reported from the Lords Committees the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Lands late of John Ballett Gentleman, for the more speedy Payment of his Debts, and raising Portions for his Younger Children," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Private Bills, Commitment to be considered.

The House being this Day moved, "That the Standing Order of this House, of the Twentieth of April One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, in relation to the Fourteen Days Commitment of Private Bills, may be dispensed with:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock, this Motion shall be taken into Consideration; and all the Lords summoned to attend.

Then it was proposed, "To read the Bill, intituled, An Act for taking the Estate in Law of a Mortgage, made by John Sands Esquire, which is descended to the Daughters and Coheirs of John Pargiter, deceased, (who are Infants) out of such Infants, they being only Trustees for Henry Raper Merchant."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be now read?"

Wilkinson versus Sperman.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of W'm Wilkinson, against a Decretal Order of the Court of Chancery, the Eighteenth Day of December in the Third Year of the Reign of Her present Majesty, in a Cause there depending, between Gilbert Sperman and Margaret his Wife, Complainants, and the Appellant, and Catherick Birkbeck and Edward Birkbeck, an Infant by the said Catherick his Father and Guardian, Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Decretal Order:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Gilbert Sperman may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and do forthwith put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing.
