Lee's Petition, referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Agnes Lee Widow, for and on the Behalf of Rich'd Lee her Son; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable her to renew Leases held of the Dean and Chapter of Exeter, for the Benefit of her Son; which cannot be effected otherwise than by an Act of Parliament, her Son being an Infant:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Gould and Mr. Baron Smith; who are forthwith to summon all Parties that are to be concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon under their Hands, and whether all Parties concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition.

Neptune, a free Ship, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to make the Ship called The Neptune Privateer (a Foreign-built Ship, lately bought as a Wreck) a free Ship."

Strode versus Andrews.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein Dame Katherine Strode is Plaintiff, and Thomas Andrews Defendant, upon a Writ of Error brought into this House the Tenth Instant, wherein Errors are assigned, and Issue joined:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, in this Case, on Monday the Third Day of February next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Jermyn, for a Divorce:

Whereas this Day was appointed, to hear Counsel, upon the Petition of Stephen Jermyn and his Son; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for dissolving the Marriage of his Son with Sarah Bell, to make good the Allegations in his Petition; and also Counsel for the said Sarah:

Counsel being called in, no Counsel appeared for the said Sarah Bell; but a Petition offered on her Behalf:

Mrs. Jermyn's Pet. for Expences for Counsel, &c.

Whereupon, Counsel being withdrawn, the Petition of Sarah Jermyn was read; shewing, "That she, being poor, and a Feme Covert, could not procure Money to see Counsel, or defend herself;" and praying, That she may be allowed Money, in order to make her Defence:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Clerks inspect the Journals in Sir John Dillon's Case; and give the House an Account thereof To-morrow, at Eleven a Clock.

Sheriffs Accompts, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better Ease of Sheriffs, in passing their Accompts; and of the Subject, in relation to the Execution of that Office."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Saturday next.

Felons, &c. Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repealing a Clause in an Act, intituled, An Act for the better apprehending, prosecuting, and punishing Felons, that commit Burglaries, House-breaking, or Robberies, in Shops, Ware-houses, Coach-houses, or Stables, or that steal Horses."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Legard and Mr. Rogers:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.
