Lord Howard Ess. takes the Oaths.

This Day Thomas Lord Howard of Effingham took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Traherne versus Sadleir et al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Phillip Traherne Senior and Phillip Traherne Junior, from a Decree of Dismission made in the Court of Chancery, the Eighteenth Day of May last past, upon the Hearing of a Cause there depending, wherein the Petitioners were Plaintiffs, against Richard Sadleir, John Sadleir, Simon Beckley, and the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London (Governors of the Possessions, Revenues, and Goods, of the Hospital of King Edward the Sixth, of Christ's, Bridewell, and St. Thomas the Apostle) were Defendants: and praying, "That the said Decree of Dismission may be reversed; and a Decree or Order that the said Richard Sadleir do pay unto the Hospital One Hundred and Eight Pounds, and Costs, or to indemnify the Appellants from the same; and also to pay to the Appellants their Costs, both at Law, and in the Court of Chancery; and that Richard Sadleir, John Sadleir, and Simon Beckley, may answer this Appeal:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Richard Sadleir, John Sadleir, and Simon Beckley, may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the Fifteenth Day of this Instant November, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Appeals and Writs of Error Time limited.

Whereas, by the Standing Orders of this House, all Persons who shall have any Writs of Error, or Petitions of Appeal from any Court of Equity, to be exhibited to this House, are required to bring in their said Writs of Error, and present their Petitions, within Fourteen Days, to be accounted from and after the First Day of every Session or Meeting of Parliament after a Recess; after which Time, the Lords do declare they will, during every such Sitting, receive no Writ of Error, or Petition of Appeal, unless upon such a Judgement given in any of Her Majesty's Courts of Judicature, or Decree had in any of the Courts of Equity, whilst the Parliament is actually sitting; in which Cases, the Party who shall find himself aggrieved may bring his Writ of Error, or Petition of Appeal, within Fourteen Days after such Judgement or Decree is given:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Order shall be punctually observed for the future, and published in Print, to the End all Persons concerned may take Notice thereof: And it is further Ordered, That the Fourteen Days in this present Session of Parliament shall commence from the Day of the Date hereof.

House to go up with the Address.

The Lord Privy Seal acquainted the House, "That he had attended Her Majesty, humbly to know what Time Her Majesty will please to appoint, for this House to attend Her, with their Address; and that Her Majesty was pleased to appoint this Day, at Two a Clock, to be attended by this House, with the Address, at St. James's."

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England do give Order, that the Address of this House, and Her Majesty's most Gracious Answer thereunto, be forthwith printed and published.
