Wood, Duke of Devonshire's Servant, Privilege:

Upon Oath made, at the Bar of this House, "That George Wood, menial Sevant to his Grace the Duke of Devonshire, was, on the Sixteenth of Seventeenth Day of October last, arrested, at the Suit of James Devereux, in an Action of the Case, by John Parkes Bailiff, and the Prosecution of George Brewster Attorney at Law, in the Time of Privilege of Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Devereux & al. to be attached, for arresting him.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Bodies of the said James Devereux, John Parkes, and George Brewster, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for their Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sarles Goatley Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them; and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, and other Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution thereof.

Adjourn.
