Barnwell's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enabling Abraham Barnewel to make a more ample Settlement of his Estate, for the Benefit of his Family; and to charge Part thereof for raising Portions for his Younger Children in his Life-time, and for Payment of his Debts."

Dut. of Beaufort, Petition for a Bill:

Upon reading the Petition of the most Noble Mary Dutchess of Beaufort, and her Grandson Henry Duke of Beaufort; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for enabling the Petitioner the Duke to perform and execute several Deeds and other Matters in the Petition set forth, though under Age, in order to his Marriage; the House being moved, "That the Lady Marchioness of Worcester, Mother to the Petitioner, may have a Copy of the said Petition:"

After reading and considering the Petition of Amphillis, Jane, Elizabeth, and Juliana, Daughters to Sir Richard Newdigate Baronet; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to be relieved against some cruel Severities: and unreasonable Usage and Practices of their Father Sir Richard Newdigate:

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the more effectual Security of His Majesty's Government, and the Liberties and Properties of His Subjects, by allowing Freeholders and others to keep Musquets, and exercise themselves in shooting."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Saturday next.

The Lord Chief Justice of His Majesty's Court of King's Bench, in the usual Manner, brought in a Writ of Error; wherein,

Protestation against the Bill for settling the Succession, Debate about.

The Order being read, for resuming the adjourned Debate Yesterday, upon the Protestation entered the Four and Twentieth of February last:
