PRAYERS.

Lords take the Oaths.

The Lords following took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statute; (videlicet,)

Fuller examined again about his Book:

ORDERED, That Mr. Fuller be sent for, to attend this House presently.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper do write to Mr. Thomas Hoby, and desire him to signify, in Writing, "Whether he ever saw Mr. Thomas Jones or Mr. John Englefield, or either of them; and whether he ever took any Depositions from the said Jones or Englefield; and if he did so, that then he do send to his Lordship a Copy of those Depositions, by the Messenger that carries the Letter."

The like Letter to be writ to Sir John Hoby.

Mr. Fuller, attending at the Door, was called in; and asked, "What Englefield's Christian Name is?"

Who said, "It is John."

And being asked, "What Minister of State he shewed his Depositions to?"

He said, "Mr. Jones went to the Secretary's Office, and could not get Admittance; and that he carried the Depositions to the Secretary's Office before he published them; but the Secretary never saw them: And acquainted Mr. Ellis, that Jones was ready to make his Depositions."

And being asked, "If Delaval and Hayes were seen by any Member of Parliament?"

Said, "He could not name them; but would look in his Papers."

And being also asked, "Whether he had the Pass in his Book?"

He said, "He had."

Said, "He had not; but Mr. Jones had; and that Mr. Jones had not been out of Town; but that his Wife lies in, in the Country."

Then he withdrew.

Mr. Ellis to attend.

ORDERED, That Mr. Ellis attend this House, presently.

Then, it being proposed, "That Mr. Fuller be called in, and told, That he should send to this House, Tomorrow, a List of those Persons he says in his Book saw Delaval and Hayes in the Lobby of the House of Commons:"

The Question was put, "Whether Mr. Fuller shall be called in, and told, That he should send to this House, To-morrow Morning, a List of those Persons he says in his Book saw Delaval and Hayes in the Lobby of the House of Commons?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Then Mr. Fuller was called in again, and acquainted therewith.

Mr. Ellis, attending, was called in; and asked, "What Discourse he had with Mr. Fuller?"

Who said, "Mr. Fuller came to him, and desired to speak with Mr. Secretary Hedges; and that he told him, if he would speak with him, he must go to him at Richmond."

And being asked, "If Mr. Fuller offered to bring Mr. Jones?"

Said, "Fuller had a Warrant to send for Jones, who, he said, lived at Redbridge; and that Five Messengers went, but could not find Mr. Jones; and another Messenger was sent, to fetch up Fuller and the Messengers: And believed, that Fuller has said, "Mr. Jones was ready to attend."

Clerk to read the Minutes of Orders.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, when an Order is made, the Clerk shall read the Minutes; and then the Lord Keeper shall ask the Consent of the House, before it is settled.

Adjourn.
