Sir William Ashurst's Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Sir William Ashurst Knight, with relation to the forfeited Estates in Ireland."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Richard Holford and Mr. Gery:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereto.

Sheriffs, to continue in their Offices, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the continuing the present Sheriffs in England and Wales until the First Day of Hillary Term next, unless Her Majesty shall think fit to determine them sooner."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee on the said Bill.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Viscount Longueville reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

The one, intituled, "An Act for importing into England Thrown Silk, of the Growth of Sicily, from the Port of Leghorn, in Italy."

Upon reading the Petition of William Sherwin Esquire, and Elizabeth his Wife, Niece and Heir at Law to the Right Noble George late Duke of Albemarle; praying to be heard, upon the Matters contained in his Answer put in to the Earl of Montagu's Petition:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Montagu may have a Copy of the said Petition.

Privateers, for Encouragement of, Bill.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of Privateers."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Halifax acquainted the House, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and he is ready to report the same, when the House thinks fit."

ORDERED, That the Report from the said Committee shall be made on Friday next, at Eleven a Clock.

E. of Lymerick's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Thomas Earl of Lymerick, of the Kingdom of Ireland, and Eufemia Countess Dowager of Lymerick, with relation to the forfeited Estates in Ireland."

Upon the First Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Thomas Earl of Lymerick, of the Kingdom of Ireland, and Eufemia Countess Dowager of Lymerick, with relation to the forfeited Estates in Ireland;" as also the Petition of Eufemia Countess Dowager of Lymerick, and Thomas now Earl of Lymerick; praying, "That the said Bill may pass:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petition shall be considered on Friday next, at Eleven a Clock, the First Business; and all the Lords summoned to attend.
