This Day the Lords following took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes; (videlicet,)

Lord Keeper gives the Thanks of the House to the D. of Ormond:

His Grace the Duke of Ormonde being present; the Lord Keeper, as ordered, gave the Duke of Ormonde the Thanks of this House, for the great Services done by him to Her Majesty and this Kingdom.

Hereupon,

His Grace's Answer.

The Duke returned his humble Thanks to the House, for the great Honour done him; and said, "That the Officers and Soldiers, in the late Expedition at Vigo, behaved themselves with the greatest Bravery imaginable."

Address for D. Ormond's and Sir Geo. Rooke's Instructions;

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled; That an Address be made to Her Majesty, humbly to desire, "That Her Majesty will be pleased to give Order, that the Instructions given to his Grace the Duke of Ormonde and Sir George Rooke be laid before this House, relating to the last Summer's Expedition by Sea."

Lords with White Staves to attend her Majesty.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords with White Staves do humbly attend Her Majesty with the said Address ordered this Day.

D. Ormond to lay an Account of the Expedition before the House.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That his Grace the Duke of Ormonde be, and he is hereby, desired to lay before this House, in Writing, an Account of the whole Expedition on which he has been employed.

Duke of Beaufort, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the most noble Mary Dutchess Dowager of Beaufort, and of her Grandson Henry Duke of Beaufort; shewing, "That the Petitioner having, by Articles upon his Marriage with the Lady Mary Sackville, covenanted to settle several Manors and Lands, of the Yearly Value of Two Thousand Pounds, in Jointure;" and praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for making good his Marriage Articles, and Settlement of his Estate, as if he were of full Age:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave given them to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Sharpe versus Thomas.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein John Sharpe is Appellant, and Daniel Thomas and Benjamin White are Respondents, on Friday the Twentieth Day of this Instant November, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.
