Stoppages in the Streets, Order to prevent.

The House taking Notice, that, notwithstanding the Order of this House, for preventing Stoppages in the Streets, from Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon until Three of the Clock in the Afternoon of the same Day, during the Sitting of this Parliament, there is daily Stoppages in the Streets, by Carts and Drays, contrary to the said Order:

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Deputy Steward and Bailiff of Westm'r, the Justices of Peace, Constables, and all other Officers herein concerned, do give Order, and take special Care, to prevent the said Stoppages, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

Randall protected.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Edward Randall, who is now attending this House, upon the Bill, intituled, An Act for re-uniting to the Crown the Government of several Colonies and Plantations in America, is threatened to be arrested:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Randall shall have the Protection of this House, during the Dependance of the said Bill in this House.

Then the House was called over, pursuant to an Order of the Fourteenth Instant.

E. of Maclesfield, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of the Right Honourable Charles Earl of Maclesfeld; praying Leave to bring in a Bill for the Settlement of his Estate, in Consideration of Marriage:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Maclesfeld hath Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Sir D. Mitchell versus Colinge, concerning the Yeoman Usher's Place.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir David Mitchell, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House; as also the Petition of Richard Colinge, both relating to one and the same Matter:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear One Counsel, on either Side, upon the said Petitions, on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by the Earl of Dysert and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Robert Lord Viscount Kilmorey, in the Kingdom of Ireland, (being an Infant) to settle divers Manors, Lands, and Hereditaments, in the Kingdom of England, upon a Treaty of Marriage;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House,

Privilege Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the following Bills; (videlicet,)

"An Act for the greater Ease of the Subject in recovering their just Debts:"

As also, "An Act for preventing any Inconveniencies that may happen by Privilege of Parliament."

And the Committee proceeded on the last of these Bills.

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Viscount Longueville reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the Committee to proceed therein."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed in the said Bill, on Monday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Lloyd versus Badger, in Error.

Whereas Monday next was appointed for hearing the Errors to be argued upon the Writ of Error now depending in this House, wherein Thomas Lloyd is Plaintiff, and John Badger Defendant:

It is ORDERED, That the said Writ of Error shall be heard on Thursday the Fifth Day of June next; and all other Causes and Hearings to come on in Course.
