Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the vesting and settling certain Manors and Lands, in South Pickenham, and other Places in the County of Norfolke, in Trustees, to be sold; and for laying out the Monies arising by Sale thereof in the Purchase of other Lands, to be settled to such and the same Uses as the said Manors and Lands so to be vested are and stand settled."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

King's Answer to Address about the Partition Treaty:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

"This Address contains Matters of very great Moment: I will always take Care, that all Treaties I make, shall be for the Honour and Safety of England."

King's Bench and Fleet Prisons Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for regulating the Prisons of The King's Bench and Fleet."

Peacock versus Holmes.

Upon reading the Petition of James Peacock; shewing, That Thomas Holmes brought his Appeal into this House, the Sixth of February One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-nine, to which the Petitioner answered, the Seven and Twentieth of April One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-nine; and that the Appellant hath not since proceeded thereon, as he ought to have done, whereby it appears the Appeal was brought for Delay; and praying, that a Day may be appointed for hearing thereof:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Fifth Day of May next, at Eleven of the Clock: And it is further ORDERED, That if the said Thomas Holmes the Appellant do not then appear, the said Appeal shall be dismissed.

Box's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to dissolve the Marriage of Ralph Box with Elizabeth Eyre, and to enable him to marry again."

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday the First Day of April next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Sir John Dillon, Leave for a Bill for dissolving his Marriage.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir John Dillon, of Lesmullen, in the Kingdom of Ireland, Knight; shewing, "That, in One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-four, he married Mary Boyle, and settled his Estate, and particularly a Rent-Charge out of it, of Five Hundred Pounds per Annum, for her Jointure; and that he hath Issue by her Two Daughters, yet living; yet she thought fit, without Provocation, to elope from him, on or about the Four and Twentieth of October One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-five, and went for England, and hath not returned since; that she hath lived in lewd and open Adultery; and in August One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-nine, was delivered of a Child, and, for aught the Petitioner knows, she may have had more; and praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for dissolving and making void the said Marriage, and bastardising all her Issue since the Elopement, and discharge the Petitioner's Estate from the said Jointure, and all Debts and Demands on her Account:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave given to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Countess of Anglesey's Bill for a Separation.

After hearing this Day Counsel and Witnesses for the Earl of Anglesey:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Depositions taken this Day by the Short-hand Writer shall be transcribed against Saturday next, in order to have them read to the Witnesses; and that then the House will proceed thereupon.
