The House taking into Consideration the Message from the House of Commons on Wednesday last; and reading the Commons Replications (to the several Answers of John Goudet, David Barrau, Peter Longueville, Stephen Seignoret, Reney Baudowin, Nicholas Santini, Peter Diharce, and John Pearse), which are as follow; (videlicet,)

Commons Replication to Goudet's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of John Goudet, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said John Goudet is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Barrau's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of David Barrau, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said David Barrau is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles, and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Longueville's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of Peter Longueville, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said Peter Longueville is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Seignoret's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of Stephen Seignoret, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said Stephen Seignoret is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Baudowin's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of Reney Baudowin, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication the said Answer, do say, That the said Reney Baudowin is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Santini's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of Nicholas Santini, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said Nicholas Santini is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Diharce's Answer:

"The Commons, having considered the Answer of Peter Diharce, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said Peter Diharce is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Replication to Pearse's Answer:

The Commons, having considered the Answer of John Pearse, to the Articles of Impeachment exhibited against him, by the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, assembled in Parliament; for Replication to the said Answer, do say, That the said John Pearce is Guilty of the high Crimes and Misdemeanors mentioned in the said Articles; and that the said Commons are ready to prove the same."

Goudet et al. Trials appointed.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That John Goudet, David Barrau, Peter Longueville, Stephen Seignoret, Reney Baudowin, Nicholas Santini, Peter Diharce, and John Peirse, shall be tried, at the Bar of this House, on Thursday the Ninth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Impeachments, Committee to report, concerning Method of proceeding on.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees, appointed the Eleventh of May last, to consider of the Impeachments brought from the House of Commons, and the Method of receiving Impeachments, do meet To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and report to the House with all convenient Speed.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have appointed the Trials of Goudet et al.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To acquaint them, that this House hath appointed Thursday next, for the Trial of John Goudet, David Barrau, Peter Longueville, Stephen Seignoret, Reney Baudowin, Nicholas Santini, Peter Diharce, and John Pearse, at the Bar of this House.

Message from thence, with a Bill; and to return Rogers's.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Colt and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Thomas Rogers Gentleman, an absolute Estate of Inheritance, in Fee Simple, in the Manor of West Court, Mansion-house, Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, in the County of Kent; and securing to John Higgons Gentleman, and Alice his Wife, and (for Portions for) Irene, Margaret, Mary, and Alice Cesar, Monies in Lieu of their Claims thereunto;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

Also a Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Gerey and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the further Relief of Creditors in Cases of Escapes, and for the further preventing Escapes and other Abuses in the Keepers of Gaols;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Writs of Error brought in.

This Day, the Lord Chief Justice of His Majesty's Court of King's Bench, in the usual Manner, brought up Two Writs of Error; (videlicet,)

Relief of Creditors in cases of Bankruptcy, Bill to repeal the Act for.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Repeal of an Act, made the last Session of Parliament, intituled, "An Act for Relief of Creditors, by making Compositions with their Debtors, in case Two Thirds in Number and Value do agree."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday next.

Address for discouraging the Woollen Manufacture in Ireland.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to encourage the Woollen Manufacture in England; and to restrain the Exportation of the Woollen Manufacture from Ireland into any Foreign Parts; and for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland;" do meet on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings, near the House of Peers; and draw an Address, to be presented to His Majesty, upon the Debate this Day; and therein particularly to represent to His Majesty, as the Opinion of this House, "That it is absolutely necessary for the Good of England, that the Woollen Manufacture in Ireland should be effectually discouraged."

Sheriffs of London versus House-breakers, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed for hearing Counsel, for the Sheriffs of London and Midd'x, against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Discovery and suppressing of House-breakers:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That they shall be heard on Friday the Tenth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven of the Clock.

Officers of Excise, Bill to allow Time to qualify.

Whereas this Day was appointed for the House to be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for giving Time to several Commissioners of Excise therein named, and their Officers, to qualify themselves for their Employments in the Duties on Leather:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be put into a Committee thereupon, on Friday the Tenth Day of this Instant June, at Eleven of the Clock, and the Judges then to attend.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Dormer Sheppard, Thomas Sheppard, James Ball, Francis Stratford, Mathew Mead, and John Coleman, complaining of a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Twentieth of May One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-six, on Behalf of Joseph Wright, Edmond Doughty, Robert Doughty, George Ford, Edward Colson, Edward Charlton, Robert Foot, Francis Gosfrith, John Morgan, Andrew Hopegard Senior, Francis Hopegard, Sir Francis Houblon, Charles Ball, John Wright, William Wright, Paul Ducmonique, John Cater, Francis Cater, Edward Stringer, Alexander Henderson, John Brand, John Fentrill, Richard Harrison, Josceline Roberts, Margaret Sedgwick Administratrix of Arthur Sedgwick deceased, Richard Blackman, Roger Drake, Charles Thorold, and James Cortein, Merchants; as also upon the Answers of Joseph Wright and others put in thereunto:

It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Dormer Sheppard, and others the Appellants abovementioned, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.
