It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Alveston Manor, &c. for Sale of, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Manor of Alveston, and other Lands therein mentioned, in the County of Gloucester, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and for other Purposes therein mentioned."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Master's Bill

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Streynsham Master Esquire to sell Lands in Kent, which were agreed to be settled by his Marriage Articles; and to convey Lands in Derbyshire, of a greater Value, to the same Uses."

Sir John Churchill's Bill.

The Lord Audley reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to confirm the Sale of Part of the Estate of Sir John Churchill Knight, lately deceased, pursuant to his last Will, and Two Decrees of Chancery for Performance thereof," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Colchester Workhouses, &c. Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for erecting Hospitals and Workhouses within the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof."

Deye et al. versus Thwaytes.

Upon reading the Petition of John Dey and Frances his Wife, Dame Susanna Bridgeman, Sarab Paunceforte, Grimbold Paunceforte Esquire, and Christopher Cratford Gentleman; desiring some Alteration in the Judgement of this House, the Five and Twentieth of April, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety, in Behalf of James Thwaytes:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said James Thwaytes may have a Copy of the said Petition; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Saturday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Colchester Channel, for cleansing, &c. Bill.

Whereas Monday next was appointed for hearing Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for cleansing and making navigable the Channel from The Heith at Colchester to Wivenhoo:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Counsel shall be heard thereunto, on Wednesday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Knight, Bill to punish:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Two Bills, brought Yesterday from the House of Commons; one, intituled, An Act for punishing John Knight Esquire, for procuring counterfeit Indorsements to be made upon several Bills made forth at the Receipt of Exchequer, commonly called Exchequer Bills;" and the other, intituled, "An Act for punishing Bartholomew Burton Gentleman, for false indorsing of several Bills made forth at the Receipt of Exchequer, commonly called Exchequer Bills;" shall be read the First Time on Wednesday the Twentieth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir W. Morley versus Jones, in Error.

ORDERED, That this House will hear the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Sir William Morley is Plaintiff, and Peter Jones Defendant, on Thursday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Twyford versus Hilliard.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of James Twyford and Sarah his Wife, and George Twyford their Son, by William Swift his Guardian, against several Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, had in the Court of Chancery, in certain Causes there depending, wherein William Hillard and Mary his Wife were Plaintiffs, and James Twyford and Sarah his Wife and others Defendants; and also the said George Twyford, by his Guardian, Plaintiff, and the said William Hilliard and Mary his Wife and others Defendants; and the said William Hilliard and Mary his Wife Plaintiffs, and the said George Twyford the Infant and others Defendants; and praying, "That the said Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, may be reversed, and the Petitioners restored to their Possessions;" as also upon the Answers of the said William Hilliard and Mary his Wife put in thereunto:

Judgement affirmed with Costs.

After due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of James Twyford, Sarah his Wife, and George their Son, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, in the Court of Chancery, from whence they appealed, shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed: And it is further ORDERED, that the said James Twyford shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said William Hilliard, the Sum of Twenty Pounds, for his Costs.
