The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the enlarging, repairing, and preserving, the Bridge and Key of the Borough of Bridgewater, in the County of Sommersett," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the enlarging, repairing, and preserving, the Bridge and Key of the Borough of Bridgewater, in the County of Somerset."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Richard Holford:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Wynne and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting Hospitals and Work-houses in the Town and Parish of Tiverton, in the County of Devon, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor there;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Travers and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming and establishing the Administration of the Goods and Chattels of Sir William Godolphin Knight, deceased;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments.

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees, to be sold, certain Lands of George Hewett Esquire, lying in the County of Middl'x, settled upon his Marriage; and, with the Money arising thereby, for purchasing other Lands in Leicestersh'r, where his Estate and Seat lies, to be settled to the same Uses;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendment.

His Majesty, being arrayed in His Regal Robes and Crown, attended with His Officers of State, ascended His Royal Throne (the Peers being also in their Robes); commanded the Deputy Usher of the Black Rod to signify to the Commons, "It is His Majesty's Pleasure, they attend Him presently."

Who being come, with their Speaker; he made a short Speech, relating to the Money Bill to be passed.

Then the Clerk of the Parliaments received the Money Bill from the Hands of the Speaker, and brought it to the Table; where the Clerk of the Crown read the Title, as followeth; (videlicet,)

Bills passed.

"1. An Act for granting to His Majesty the Sum of One Million Four Hundred Eighty-four Thousand and Fifteen Pounds, One Shilling, and Eleven Pence Three Farthings, for disbanding Forces, paying Seamen, and other the Uses therein mentioned."

To which Bill the Royal Assent was pronounced, by the Clerk of the Parliaments, in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Le Roy remercie ses bons Subjects, accepte leur Benevolence, & ainsi le veult."

Then the Bills following were passed; (videlicet,)

"2. An Act for explaining an Act made the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for supplying some Defects in the Laws for Relief of the Poor of this Kingdom."

"8. An Act to enable certain Trustees, therein named, to make, renew, and fill up, Leases of the Estate of Sir Copplestone Warwick Bampfyeld and John Bampfyeld his Brother."

"9. An Act for settling the Estate of John Hall, a Lunatic, subject to a Debt charged thereon."

"10. An Act for erecting Hospitals, Work-houses, and Houses of Correction, within the Town and Parish of Crediton, in the County of Devon; and for the better Relief of the Poor there."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House shall be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Expence and Length of Suits in the Courts of Law and Equity," on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That, on Monday next, this House will take into Consideration Mr. Marriot's not attending, as ordered.

Twyford versus Hilliard.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein James Twyford and others are Appellants, and William Hilliard and Mary his Wife Respondents, on Friday the Eighth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
