Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, "intituled, "An Act for cleansing and making navigable the Channel from The Heith at Colchester, to Wivenhoo."

Smith's Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting several Lands late belonging to Robert Smith Esquire deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of his Debts," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which, being read Twice, were agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Alveston Manor, for Sale of, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Manor of Alveston, and other Lands therein mentioned, in the County of Gloucester, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and for other Purposes therein mentioned."

Clayton & al. to attend, about the Practice of Exchequer Bills.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Clayton, Mr. Abbot, Mr. Marriot, and Mr. Heron, do attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock, to be sworn, in order to be examined by the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Practice of Exchequer Bills.

Fauquier & al. Nat. Bill.

Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Morgan and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for erecting of Hospitals and Workhouses within the City of Hereford, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor there;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Law Suits, Length and Expence of, to restrain, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act to restrain the Expence and Length of Suits in the Courts of Law and Equity."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Rochester reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for them to proceed."

ORDERED, That this House shall be put into a Committee again, on the said Bill, upon Thursday next.

Woollen Manufactures to encourage, &c. Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed to hear Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act to encourage the Woollen Manufacture in England, and to restrain the Exportation of the Woollen Manufactures from Ireland into any Foreign Parts, and for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all Persons who shall think themselves therein concerned shall be heard, by themselves or Counsel, To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon precisely.

Davis versus Speed, in Error.

Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Robert Davis is Plantiff, and John Speed Doctor in Physic Defendant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued thereupon, on Friday the First Day of April next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Sir Wm. Morley versus Jones, in Error.

Whereas Friday the First Day of April next, was appointed for hearing the Errors argued, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Sir William Morley is Plaintiff, and Peter Jones Defendant:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued thereupon, on Tuesday the Fifth Day of April next, at Eleven of the Clock.
