King's Answer to Address:

The Lord Keeper reported His Majesty's Gracious Answer to the Address, as followeth; (videlicet,)

"My Lords,

"I thank you for this Address; and for the Concern you express, in relation to our common Security both at Home and Abroad. I shall give the necessary Orders for those Things you desire of Me, and take Care for setting out such a Fleet as may be necessary for our common Defence in this Conjuncture."

Address and Answer to be printed.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper of the Great Seal of England do give Order that the Address of this House, presented to His Majesty Yesterday, and His Majesty's most Gracious Answer thereunto, be forthwith printed and published.

Viscount Hereford takes his Seat.

This Day Price Viscount Hereford sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of Edward Viscount Hereford, his Cousin; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Stature.

Box, Leave for a Divorce, Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Ralph Box, Citizen and Grocer of London; praying Leave to bring in a Bill to dissolve his Marriage with Elizabeth Eyre; she having lived in Adultery, as he hath fully proved in the Court of King's Bench, and obtained a definitive Sentence in the Arches Court of Canterbury:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Ralph Box hath hereby Leave given for bringing in a Bill, as desired.

Earl of Berks excused.

The House being informed, "That the Earl of Berkshire was very aged and infirm:"

His Absence was excused.

Sir Nat. Curzon, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Nathaniel Curzon Baronet; shewing, "That he hath Letters Patents for Two Markets and One Fair in Brookfield, and also for a Market in Newport Garden, in the County of Midd'x; and praying Leave to bring in a Bill for confirming the said Grants:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner Sir Nathaniel Curzon hath hereby Leave given for bringing in a Bill, as desired.

Williams versus Williams.

Upon reading the Petition of Katherine Williams Widow, and Elizabeth Williams her Daughter, an Infant, Respondent to the Petition and Appeal of John Williams, Administrator of William Williams; shewing, "That the said John Williams brought his Appeal into this House the Eight and Twentieth of February last, to which the Petitioner put in her Answer the Eight and Twentieth of March following; and that the Appellant hath not since proceeded on his Appeal; and praying, that the Appeal may be dismissed, or a short Day appointed for hearing the Cause:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Sixth Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

State of the Fleet to be sent in.

The House being moved, "To have an Account from the Admiralty of the State of the Fleet:"

The Earl of Bridgewater, First Commissioner of the Admiralty, being present, said, "He would give the House an Account thereof To-morrow."
