Lucy versus Bp. St. David's, Privilege.
The House being acquainted, "That the Bishop of St. David's had resumed his Privilege, in a Cause promoted by Robert Lucy Esquire, before the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, and now depending in the Delegates, wherein he had in this House waived his Privilege;" and the said Bishop of St. David's desiring to be heard, by his Counsel, to that Matter:
Upon Consideration whereof, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, that the Bishop of St. David's shall be heard; by his Counsel, at the Bar of this House, on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon, what he has to offer, in relation to the resuming his Privilege in the said Cause; whereunto the Lord Archbishop of Canterbury may also, if he think fit, be heard by his Counsel.
Ulster Society London versus Bp. of Derry:
The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That he had received a Letter from the Lord Chancellor of Ireland, in relation to the Proceedings in the Case of the Society, London, and Bishop of Derry."
Which was read, and is as follows; (videlicet,)
Letter from L. Chancellor of Ireland, concerning Proceedings there, in Consequence of the Order of this House in the Cause.
"Dublin, November 18th, 1699.
"My Lord,
"I have had the Honour lately to inform your Lordship of what passed in the Chancery here, relating to the Order of the most Honourable the House of the Lords, concerning the Bishop of Derry; but, believing the Lords would be willing to have all the Satisfaction possible in that Matter, I have troubled your Lordship with the enclosed Letter from the Sheriffs of Derry, giving me an Account of the full Execution of my Order, and the peaceable and quiet Possession the Society are now in, of all the Lands in Question. I am likewise to inform your Lordship, that the Bishop hath not, by any Motion or otherwise, made the least Attempt in the Court of Chancery, this Term, to alter the State of that Matter. There is likewise the same entire Obedience given to the Order relating to my Lord Meath, for the Possession of Lands in Tipperary. If there remain any Thing farther to satisfy the Lords, I have received His Majesty's Leave, and hope to be in London in a very short Time. I am, with very great Respect,
"My Lord,
"Your Lordship's most humble
"and most obedient Servant,
"My Lord Chancellor. "Jo. Methwen."

It is ORDERED; by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Appellant Evseby Beseley, or some sufficient Person for him, do, on or before Monday next at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, enter into Recognizance of One Hundred Pounds, for paying such Costs as this House shall think fit to give in this Case.
