The Lord Chancellor acquainted the House, "That His Majesty had sent a Commission for further proroguing the Parliament."
Then the Lords Commissioners, in their Robes, took their Places on the Form, placed between the Throne and the Woolsack; the Lord Chancellor in the Middle; the Lord Privy Seal and Earl of Romney on his Right Hand; and the Earl of Stamford and Lord Ferrers on his Left Hand; commanded the Yeoman Usher of the Black Rod to go to the House of Commons, and let them know, "The Lords Commissioners desire them to come, and hear the said Commission read, as followeth; (videlicet,)

Parliament prorogued.
Then the Lord Chancellor said,
"My Lords and Gentlemen,
"By virtue of His Majesty's Commission now read, and to us directed, we do, in His Majesty's Name, prorogue this Parliament to Thursday the Sixteenth Day of November next; and this Parliament is prorogued accordingly to Thursday the Sixteenth Day of November next."
