This Day John Lord Pawlet took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Trent River, navigable, Bill:

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making and keeping the River Trent, in the Counties of Leicester, Derby, and Stafford, navigable," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making and keeping the River Trent, in the Counties of Leicester, Derby, and Stafford, navigable."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Richard Holford and Dr. Newton:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments.

E. Warrington versus Sir James Langham.

Whereas this Day was appointed for the Lord Chief Justice of His Majesty's Court of Common Pleas to report what was offered, by Counsel, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of the Earl of Warrington, and the Answer of Sir James Langham and Anne Tipping put in thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Report shall be made on Friday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Allen versus Billingsgate Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Daniel Allen; praying, That he may be heard, by his Counsel, to One Clause in the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making Billingsgate a free Market for the Sale of Fish:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, as desired, on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon; and also the Lord Mayor of London at the same Time, if he thinks fit.

Clements attached, for Words against Lord Osborn, as Master of the Fishermers Company.

The House being informed, upon Oath, "That John Clements, Fishmonger, had spoken opprobrious Words of the Right Honourable Peregrine Lord Osborne, as Master of the Company of Fishermen:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said John Clements, and keep him in safe Custody until further Order; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Peter Persehouse Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them; and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Billingsgate Fish Market, Bill.

After hearing Counsel, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making Billingsgate a free Market for the Sale of Fish:"

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon,

Message from H. C. to return the Bill for Encouragement of the Woollen Manufactures. &c.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Bartholomew Shore and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the Exportation of Wool out of the Kingdoms of Ireland and England into Foreign Parts, and for the Encouragement of the Woollen Manufactures in the Kingdom of England;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendments, with an Amendment, to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendment, being read Thrice, was agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Messages from H. C. with a Bill; and to return the Air and Calder Rivers Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Cooper and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Imprisonment of Counter and others, for the late horrid Conspiracy to assassinate the Person of His Sacred Majesty;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Also a Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Bryan Stapleton and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the making and keeping navigable the Rivers of Air and Calder, in the County of York;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.

Woodman versus Barton.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Joshua Woodman is Appellant, and Amy Barton and others are Respondents, on Wednesday the Nineteenth Day of this Instant April, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
