This Day Thomas Lord Bishop of Lincolne took the Oaths, and his Witnesses Thomas Gilbert and Thomas Skeyns were sworn to the Truth of the Certificate of his receiving the Sacrament; and then he took and subscribed the Test, pursuant to the Statute 25° Car. IIdi.
Marq. Monpovilian, Nat. Bill.
The Lord Bridgwater reported the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing of Armand Nompar de Caumaunt, Marquis of Monpovillan," with some Amendments.
Which were read, and agreed to.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, on Friday the Twelfth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Cane versus Coleman.
Upon reading the Petition of John Cane Gentleman; shewing, "That he hath brought a Writ of Error into this House, to reverse a Judgement in the King's Bench, and since confirmed in the Exchequer Chamber, and the Defendant is since dead, and left Sarah his Wife Executrix; and praying, that in regard the said Record is in this House, that the Petitioner may have an Order to summon the Executrix at a certain Day:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That (the Defendant being dead) Sarah Coleman shall be, and is hereby, appointed to join Issue on the said Writ of Error, on Monday the Fifteenth Day of this Instant February, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

After hearing this Day the Counsel for her Grace the Dutchess of Richmond, as also Counsel for the King, and the Farmers and Clothiers, for and against the Bill, intituled, "An Act for transferring the collecting of the Duties of Alnage to the Custom-house, and for giving a Recompense to the Crown for the same:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Report of what was said by the Counsel, and Debate thereupon, shall be adjourned to Wednesday next, at One of the Clock in the Afternoon; and that One Counsel on either Side shall then attend.

The Commons being come to the Free Conference, the last Managers Names were read.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Free Conference.
Which being ended, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Rochester gave an Account, "That they insist upon their Disagreement to the Lords Amendments, and have returned the Bill."
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Debate of the Free Conference, had this Day with the House of Commons, shall be adjourned until To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
Mutiny Bill.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, after the Debate of the Free Conference, the Amendments made to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for punishing of Mutineers and Deserters, preventing false Musters, and paying the Army according to the Musters of Effective Men, and for the better paying of Quarters," shall be reported to the House from the Committee.
Quakers Evidence, Bill.
It is ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for empowering the High Court of Chancery and the Court of Exchequer to accept of the solemn Answer, or Evidence, of any of the People called Quakers," To-morrow, the First Business.
