Grievances complained of by Crosfield, Commissioners of Accompts to report concerning.

Upon reading the Petition of Robert Crosfeild; praying to be heard, as to the Corruptions and Grievances laid before this House the last Session of Parliament, in his Petition:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners appointed by a late Act of Parliament to examine, take, and state, the Public Accompts of the Kingdom, do lay before this House, with all convenient Speed, an Account, in Writing, what they have done upon the Orders of this House sent to them the last Session of Parliament, in Reference to the Matters mentioned in Mr. Crosfeild's Petition.

Aunger's Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable John Aunger an Infant, and his Mother, to make a Lease of his Estate, for the Improvement thereof."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet,)

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Friday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Sandes's Bill:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting a Moiety of the Manor of Shepton Mallet, in the County of Somerset, and a divided Moiety of the Manor of Wells, in the said County, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of a Mortgage charged thereon, and for making a Provision for the Maintenance of Mary the Wife of William Sandes Esquire and her Children."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir John Francklyn:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the East India Company and Merchants trading to The East Indies do attend this House on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Deere versus Gibbon.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Edward Deere is Appellant, and William Gibbon Respondent, on Wednesday the Fifth Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Messages from H. C. to return the E. of Kent's Bill, Haynes's Bill, and Staughton's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Tredenham and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Anthony Earl of Kent, and Henry Grey his Son and Heir Apparent, to make a Jointure for Jemima Wife of the said Henry Grey;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendments.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Baldwin and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Richard Haynes Esquire to settle a Jointure on his now Wife, and to exchange Lands with the Trustees of Thomas Stevens Esquire deceased;" to which they have agreed, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Whitaker and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Estate late of Sir Niccolas Stoughton and Sir Lawrence Stoughton Baronets, deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of their Debts, and raising Portions for the Daughters of the said Sir Nicholas Stoughton;" to which they have agreed, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Lustring Company and Weavers, against the Bill to supply Defects in the Act concering Alamodes, &c.

After hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition of the Royal Lustring Company, for making and dressing Alamodes, Renforces, and Lustrings, in England; as also upon the Petition of the Weavers belonging to the Royal Lustring Company; against the Bill, intituled, "An Act to supply the Defects in the Act made the last Session of Parliament (as to what relates to Alamodes and Lustrings), intituled, An Act for granting to His Majesty certain Duties upon Glass Wares, Stone and Earthen Bottles, Coals, and Culm, for carrying on the War against France;" as also Counsel for the Weavers of London, for the said Bill:

It is Resolved, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be, and is hereby, rejected.
