That the Commons will meet this House, at Twelve of the Clock, as desired.

E. Kent's Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Anthony Earl of Kent, and Henry Grey his Son and Heir Apparent, to make a Jointure for Jemima Wife of the said Henry Grey."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be read the Second Time this Day Sevennight.

Sir T. Parkins's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Longueville reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enabling Sir Thomas Parkyns Baronet to sell certain Messuages, Lands, and Hereditaments, in Huby and Easingwould, in the County of York; and for settling other Lands and Hereditaments, of greater Value, in Lieu thereof, as fit to pass, with One Amendment."

Which was Twice read, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed.

Complaints from Merchants, of their Losses at Sea, lent to the Admiralty for Answers to them:

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, (appointed to inspect the Papers delivered in from the East India Company, and other Merchants,) as followeth; (videlicet,)

E. I. Comp.

"That it is the Opinion of the Committee, that a Copy of a Paper delivered into this House by the East India Company, the Thirteenth Day of this Instant December, be sent to the Commissioners of the Admiralty; and that they give particular Answers, in Writing, with all convenient Speed, to the several Complaints therein contained."

As also several other Particulars, as by the Orders following appear; (videlicet,)

New England Merchants;

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That a Copy of a Paper delivered into this House, the Thirteenth of this Instant December, from the New England Merchants, be sent to the Commissioners of the Admiralty; and that they, with all convenient Speed, give this House an Account, in Writing, why there were not Cruizers in the Channel, as the Act of Parliament directs."

African Company;

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That a Copy of a Paper delivered into this House, the Thirteenth Day of this Instant December, by the African Company, be sent to the Commissioners of the Admiralty; and that they (with all convenient Speed) do give Answers to all the Losses therein mentioned, except the Two First."

W. I. Merchants;

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That a Copy of a Paper delivered into this House the Thirteenth Day of this Instant December, by the Merchants trading to Barbadoes, be sent to the Commissioners of the Admiralty; and that they, with all convenient Speed, give this House an Account, in Writing, why those Ships therein mentioned to be lost in the Hurricane were detained, after the Time appointed for them to sail, Five Months, till the Season of the Year came in which the Hurricanes usually happen; and that as to the other Sixteen Ships, why the said Merchants had no Convoy, and why the Cruizers stayed not in their Stations as the Merchants desired."

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do give Answer, with all convenient Speed, in Writing, how the Ship called The Antegoa Merchant came to be taken, in February, 169 4/5, out of Bearehaven in Ireland; and what Care has been taken of the Coasts of Ireland."

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do lay before this House an Account, in Writing, how the Cruizers and Convoys appointed by the Act of Parliament were disposed of this last Year, with all convenient Speed."

Jamaica Merchants to add the Dates of their Losses.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Paper delivered into this House, the Thirteenth Instant, by the Merchants trading to Jamaica, be returned unto them; and that they add thereto the particular Times when the Ships therein mentioned were lost.

Scots Act for an E. I. Company, Remedies to prevent the Inconveniencies of:

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Tuesday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee, to proceed farther upon Consideration of the Papers laid before this House by the Commissioners of the Customs, the East India and other Companies and Merchants, relating to Remedies to prevent the Inconveniencies which may arise by a late Act of Parliament for establishing an East India Company in Scotland."

Conference about the Address against the Act.

The Commons being come to the Conference; the Managers Names were read, and the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Rochester acquainted the House, "That they had attended the Conference, as commanded."
