Lloyd versus Griffiths.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Richard Lloyd Gentleman, from a Decree passed in the High Court of Chancery, the Eleventh Day of February, in the Nineteenth Year of King Charles the Second, in a Cause wherein Robert Griffiths Esquire deceased was Plaintiff, and the Petitioner and others Defendants; praying, "That Edward Griffiths may answer there"unto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Edward Griffiths may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall, and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Eight and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Duvall versus Price, in Error.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Errors argued upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein John Duvall is Plaintiff, and Edward Price Defendant:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued thereupon, on Thursday the Tenth Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Bp. of London versus Regem, in Error.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein the Bishop of London and Doctor Birch are Plaintiffs, and Their Majesties Defendants, on Friday the Eleventh Day of this Instant January, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Marten versus Herbert.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day, upon the Petition and Appeal of Henry Marten Gentleman, from a Decree made in Their Majesties Court of Exchequer, in a Cause there depending, between Thomas Herbert Complainant, and the Petitioner Defendant; as also upon the Answer of the said Thomas Herbert put in thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon, it is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Henry Marten shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree made in the Court of Exchequer, from which he appealed, shall be, and is hereby, affirmed: And it is further ORDERED, That the said Henry Marten shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said Thomas Herbert, the Sum of Twenty Pounds for Costs.

Verney's Claim to the Barony of Broke:

L. Keeper to report.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keeper do report what was this Day offered, by Mr. Attorney General and other Counsel, in relation to the Petition of Sir Richard Verney, who claims the Title of Lord Broke, on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock.

Bad Titles, Double Mortgages, &c. to prevent, Bill.

A Bill being this Day offered to be read, intituled, "An Act to prevent bad Titles, double Mortgages, and other Incumbrances, of, in, and upon, Lands and Hereditaments, in Deceit of Purchasers:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill shall be read on Saturday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and all the Lords summoned then to attend, and also the Judges.
